Vodafone cancelled contract

Hi all,

I am hoping someone can please advise me here.

I had a two year contract with Vodafone, I contacted them in August of this year to see what offer they had (SIM only). After speaking with their loyalty team, I agreed on a SIM only deal. It wasn’t until I received an email advising of the delivery address - my old address! I had changed my details with Vodafone prior to this.

I immediately contacted Vodafone to advise them of this, to which they cancelled the contract. I decided to leave it as that for the time being to shop around, however had no luck, so returned to vodafone, went through the hoops and in September received another SIM to my actual address. At this point EE offered me a good deal, so I contacted vodafone, had a returns label issues and sent the sim back via DPD (tracking). My co tract, as I was advised, was cancelled.

On Monday just gone I had an email off Vodafone saying I owed £105 and to contact collections. After 1hr explaining, being passed around, a lady said they need £105, I debated, she then said they need £39.00, i again debated and she said they need £2.60 for two days of the SIM (not used). I paid. She stated I had missed a months payment, hence £105 including charges! She further states I was sent a text in October. Since September my phone was cut off, and I moved on. But I don’t get how they say it’s for my old contract, but then take money for the SIM only?

My problem now is they are saying my credit file will fall victim of this? They are refusing to help. They’re adamant it’s a missed payment.

Any advice welcome
Thanks

At the very least I wud have thought you would owe them one month as you would have to give one month's notice.

Go to the sticky Vodafone complaints thread at the top of this board, read the very first couple of posts and follow the instructions they contain.

If you cancelled within the 14 day cooling off period, then the only thing you need to pay for is any calls texts or data you used while you had the sim.
