  • We have just got the problem with Homeshift as well!!!
10 months as we lived in the flat (me and my husband), we paid every bill they sent us, everything went well and now we are moving out of this flat and they are surprising us with the debt of £1500.... So within the whole 10 months, they haven't said a word about this and If we moved out in 5 years, then what.. we would owe over £8000?  not the point though...
I've checked prices online on the website of the actual supplier and they are much...much lower than Homeshift has on their page.
Anyway.. we are trying to sort it out, will check the meter If it's ok, but...according to 30-40 reviews with THE SAME situation we read - it's about home shift coming up with some interesting prices..
At least they canceled 2 months of payments until we sort it out, thanks for that, don't want the credit score to be ruined..
    but it's despicable

Its a business, the time to check the prices was before you agreed to use their services.
It may be extortionate, but if the prices are easy to check as it seems they are, then it is hardly despicable, we all have the freedom to pick who we use and if you don't do your homework you may be paying more than you need to.
As for the underpayments and money owed, it doesn't matter who you are with, this will happen if you don't submit frequent meter readings and check your account balance at least every month so you can see if you are covering your costs or not.
That is something you will still need to do with your next provider as even if their rates are lower, you can still get into debt if you don't make the effort to stay in control...

    Anyone currently with Homeshift?

With Go Effortless ceasing trading I'm curious to know if they've heard anything about Homeshift?

The Homeshift directors set up 'Colorado Energy' in April which offers tariffs through letting agents - I wonder if they saw the collapse coming?
  • God, some of these reviews are terrifying. I’ve just left a review about Homeshift. I really hope they respond and I won’t be bullied by them and have no qualms of taking this further if I need to.  Is this company even legal?

They helped the collapse of the company.

Effortless lost 75% of their customers before going bust. The Homeshift owners cancelled the contract with Go Effortless and instead set up their own supply through Colorado.
