Hi Reflecting, just popping in to say hello. I haven't been doing my diary for very long but I find checking in every day is helping me. There might not be anything exciting to report but it's making me more accountable and already I've got a different outlook on what I do and why I do it.

    A bonus £10 and then a bonus £50 - fantastic :T

Keep writing, it really does help. :)
  • Yes I am following too so keep posting and good luck :T:T:T:T:T
  • Thank you teafor2 and meowcom xx

Spendy day yesterday but I don't seem to have anything to show for it!:o paid for couple of school dinners and spent £15 posting 2 parcels. Was invited out for dinner at a family members house but when we got there they had forgotten :o
So we ended up getting a take away, another £16 there  wish I had just said I'd go home and make something for the kids now.

Supposed to be going to a event on Saturday that's been booked for a long time. But it's going to cost the best part of £100 at least in fuel so I'm not going to go. But I'm really worried about telling my friend I'm not going:(

Have been carrying on my pad. And today I'm off to job 2 so will try and make a extra payment from that if I can xx

Good Morning :) Forgetting you've invited somebody for dinner is bad enough but then having to pay £16 for their mistake adds salt to the wound doesn't it. :( I'd have been pretty miffed at that.

That's a lot on fuel before you've even started any other spending. Are you standing the cost of that on your own? Maybe your friend would chip in? I hate letting people down as well and used to end up doing things I didn't really want to. But as I got older I got better at saying no thanks in the first place :) It takes a lot of working on though :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day.
  • Good evening :)

Well I bit the bullet and told my friends I wasn't going. I'm really disappointed as I did really want to go. Hopefully next year I can go, once I am debt free!

Popped in to see one of my best friends today and realised she's feeling pretty down. She didn't say anything but I can tell. I'm going to make more effort to see her more regularly. I just find with work and the kids a week can pass in the blink of a eye.

Bought £10 of fuel today and £15 gas. Then I spent £20 on finishing my Christmas shopping. Going to try and finish wrapping this weekend.

Feeling quite stressed about Monday. Think this might play on my mind over the weekend. Early start Monday at work and it's going to be full on. Followed by important appointment. Just wish these appointments were over and me and the kids could move on with our lives :( xx

It's a shame you couldn't go on the trip especially as you were looking forward to it but at least telling your friend is one thing off your mind.

I hope whatever is happening Monday doesn't impact too much on you over the weekend and you and the children have a nice time, whatever you're doing. x
  • Oh dear diary, it's been a few days since I've been on here.

Monday went ok I think but at the same time I think it's potentially going to increase my debt by about £3000???:eek::eek:

Work has been manic, why did I choose retail at Christmas time :o

Going to sit down later and work out what to pay where on Friday when I get paid. This is my first full month on my new hours so it's difficult to plan too much because I don't even know how much I've earnt.

Plan for the rest of the evening is to try and finish wrapping up and write cards.

Morning Reflecting :) Ouch to the £3,000 but if you think it's going to benefit you in the long run that's the main thing.

Hope you managed to get the wrapping and cards done. I cut down on cards this year but have had a few unexpected ones so I'm still writing the odd one here and there.

    Have a lovely day.
  • Thank you teafor2. Didn't finish the wrapping but hopefully will do tomorrow evening after I finish a overtime shift I've managed to get a j!!! after j!!! tomorrow.

Planned out what I need to pay out of tomorrow's wages and going to be really strict with myself. Although DD2 is 18 in 2 weeks and DS2 has his birthday tge day after. All budgeted for now though. A couple of months ago I would never have thought to plan for it.

The extra £3000 (estimated, could be more hopeful that it might be less) is completely unavoidable and not my choice at all. I literally have no choice but to pay it. Thank goodness they are willing to accept my tiny payment to it each month. Teafor2 I will pm you if you don't mind.

Morning Reflecting :) I got your PM and I've replied. x

An 18th, a birthday the day after and Christmas just a few days away :D You don't do things by half do you. :rotfl: Sounds stressful but all good fun.

Good news about the extra shift. It all helps at this time of year doesn't it.

Things sound tough at the moment but I hope it helps in some small way to know that I'm here cheering you on from the sidelines. x
