If there isn't a moment when the radiators ar free from washing then she's doing too much washing or you are chagning your clothes too often.
How would you suggest that she dries this stuff?
Or she has so much else to do she just doesn't have time to put stuff away...No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
I have a pulley in the utility & clothes dry there without drying to a crisp - warm air rising and all of that.
I peg out washing but at this time of year it's difficult to get a dry day.
The bubbling of the wall paper sounds like something going on with the walls. I wonder if there is distemper on them. It was done as a decorative finish but doesn't like condensation - which, if there is no ventilation ie an open window when drying wet clothes indoors you may well have.0 -
Use a dehumidifier - that will pull the moisture out of the air. Just be aware that you shouldn't run one in a room where there are animals or people as it dehumidifies lungs too! You have to empty the water out periodically.
If funds allow, I strongly recommend a heated clothes airer from lakeland. They also sell a cover (which speeds up drying) -- but you can use a double sheet thrown over it. I run the dehumdifier on the outside (not under the sheet) so no risk of fire. Should yr missus finish washing, you fold up the airer and put both away in a cupboard or behind a door.0
