    Oddly satisfying to watch :rotfl:
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
  • Surely, something like a mild acid would work. Acetic acid (vinegar) or lemon juice. Plastic ice scraper?

I would have tried a decorators scraper.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

If you enjoyed that then you should try watching this guy at work. He machines massive lumps of metal to accuracies most of us could only dream of achieving... the kind of craftsman it is rare to find these days, and he's great at explaining exactly what's going on. :)

Sometimes you need to turn the volume down though, the local dogs might not appreciate it. ;)

Watched the video. Being lazy, would get a blanket and soak it in a solution of citric acid and cover that cover, if it is calcium., but first would try a small hand towel.

Perhaps you have too much calcium in the water exacerbated by using a solid form of chlorine compound, which is usually calcium hypochlorite, then also include natural evaporation of water and chlorine and you have a deposit in your water

Baquacil may be better, and give a longer interval between cleans, but tap water already contains quite a bit of calcium.

I would speak to the pool cover company, as they probably have had this before
  • I did talk to the pool cover supplier and they advised using power washer, already tried this.

I have now found the solution hopefully. I have booked a dry ice blasting company to clean the cover @ £550 +vat not cheap but better than sat there hammering for a week. :-)

where's the facepalm emoji when you need it. I suppose if you have a pool you can afford it.
