Terrible service from BT...worth a letter re: leaving penalty, leaving for another fibre provider?

:beer:Hi all, nearly finished BT fibre contract , they advise final bill including penalty for leaving a bit early is around £100.

Whilst I know I agreed to the terms/conditions FIVE times asked for tech support in connecting to hub but they didn't give a toss.....unlike the advertising blurb/book sent at time of new order. Reason had to re link to hub/router was serious malware that I just could not get rid of, hence re- installed operating system.

Worth a resolver type letter? Really don't feel like paying a fee for crap service.

I know enough about bad debt/Credit scoring/defaults etc & would never let it get to the point of damaging my credit score.

*****EDIT.....SORRY...SHOULD BE IN BB THREAD....DON'T KNOW HOW TO COPY TEXT...MODS PLS MOVE IF NEEDED†******Sorry (!)

Any advice kind folk? Am I wasting my time? Don't suppose anyone has an address/e mail for quickest response? Thanks!

You can try a letter, personally, I suspect the advice you'd get on the BB board would be as good a standard of support as you'll get from BT at the current time.

Connecting to the hub is plug and play .
Post reads as you had a PC problem and expected the ISP to deal with it ~??.

Yep, ISP's can't and won't help with a virus or malware.
