Steve has had a phone call from the Consultant, he wants him to have a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow and has asked for him to be sent an appointment for a PET scan as well, with a view to starting treatment soon.

Say what you will about the NHS (and I did my share over the hospital where my parents were treated) we really can't praise the haematology department at Bedford highly enough.

Haven't read the thread yet, as am getting ready to go shopping with Mum .No bananagate with her, thank God :rotfl:
We had a bit of a drama last night:Sooty, my 8 month old Grandcat, got stuck in a really high tree, inside a locked allotment. He'd been missing at this point for 24 hours:eek:My DD rang both the RSPCA, n the fire brigade who both couldn't help .By this time the cat , DD n the Grandkids were all screaming. Anyway luckily one of their neighbours brought a ladder, n SIL finally went up get him, in thr pitch black. He's now home n under house arrest for a while :rotfl:
I couldn't cope with the worry of a cat going missing :(
Anyway, must dash, but Huggles for all the poorlies n peed offs today :A

  • Good MORNING - ha ha ! Having got distracted it is now Good Afternoon:o

Thanks for starting us off nmlc. Hope work goes well & that the Saturdays aren’t too hectic.

    camelot, the candles sound good

tru, I am still singing along :D Good luck with the daffodils :)

redruby, when I USED to buy presents, I would wrap & label as I went along as wrapping was not my favourite pastime :(

dumpling, hope the legs get sorted soon - at least the doctor appears to be on the ball :)

ScarletRibbons, hope the journey goes well & the visit is enjoyable

Gers, glad the doctor has put your mind at rest as regards your DM

snoozer, so sorry to hear about Steve. I am sending lots of gentle (((HUGS))) your way.

-taff, fairy lights are so pretty & it sounds like you have a large supply :rotfl: I lurve Lincolnshire sausages :D

Lainey, hope you enjoyed your catch up :)

Hester, god you have managed to get CHS to rest :T Maybe you can have a little rest yourself :)

ancientofdays, hope the dentist visit went well :)

Nelski, nice to see you back :) re the favourite pub  Do these people not realise that fancy decor is no substitute for good, tasty food priced reasonably. Do they have a website where you can make your feelings known? Hopefully enough people will walk away & they might rethink.

TA, please do not beat yourself up about the lack of Christmas spirit - it is to be expected. Sounds like your DD is having a marvellous time in Munich. What is it about Christmas festivities that makes people so inconsiderate  I was fortunate enough to work on small departments & we picked something to do rather than a sit down meal. The last time I went on one we went ten pin bowling - great fun.

Speky, can you come round my place & start on my To Do list :rotfl: How are you at knitting :rotfl: You seem to be settling in very nicely - I hope the job is enjoyable :)

Suffolksue, so sorry about your DH - sending (((HUGS))). Don’t forget - lists are your friend :rotfl:

WeeMidgie, what a busy bee 🐝 I hope your yoga friend mends quickly, seems a bit drastic to fall to avoid yoga :) Hope you have a lovely lunch - nice to be thanked especially when it is a surprise. Tea sounds nice as well :) I hope you are not cramming all your social activities into one day :D

Bozwood, good luck at fat club.

Purple Kitten, have a good day

csarina, I have also been trying to dish up smaller servings for DH & I - seems to be working - for me at least :rotfl: my new smaller trousers are starting to become looser :T but still not quite loose enough to pull down without undoing :rotfl: However I foresee problems when my DSis comes back on Friday - she does love to eat :rotfl: Hope the support for your wrist arrives quickly.

Have vacuumed downstairs & am currently cooking ys sausages for the fox :)
DH is just painting the bathroom ceiling - changing out the light fittings will have to wait until tomorrow when hopefully there will be some light :D. Today has been too dark & damp :(

Just about to get my knitting out - I will struggle to knit a baby cardigan before Christmas but I can only try :)

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone

Knitting this morning and usual cuppa afterwards flew in into almost two hours
    ......was nice though!

Misty rain here today so dark that lights are on all day.

Dinner tonight is roast beef.....the massive piece that OH bought last week needs to be cooked so will have some kind of stir fry tomorrow and anything left will go in the freezer for future reference, if not used for sandwiches.

Love to all who are struggling for any reason, I need to sort one of my bank cards as I can't seem to check it on line anymore.

    Hello all
Apologies for the late post, but this is the first time I've had to sit down and relax today. I started to post earlier but Dad walked through the door and stayed for tea, so gave up the idea of posting. He was a bit argumentative, but I'm sorry to say I was glad when he went home :(.
Anyway will not bore you silly with my day and will post tomorrow, promise. However it may be later in the day again as I have bloods in the am and then shopping to do before we return home. )
Nelski :A I do understand how you feel, but I was a bit worried as you are always posting before me. Glad you're ok even if a bit meh. Gentle hugs coming your way.
Thinking of the poorly people, or the poorly OH's and hugs to anyone going through tough times.

I have read today's posts, but nothing much has stuck in the old grey matter :o.
Note to self......... " must do better tomorrow !" :rotfl:

    Take care all
    nan xx
