Steve has had a phone call from the Consultant, he wants him to have a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow and has asked for him to be sent an appointment for a PET scan as well, with a view to starting treatment soon.
Say what you will about the NHS (and I did my share over the hospital where my parents were treated) we really can't praise the haematology department at Bedford highly enough.0 -

We had a bit of a drama last night:Sooty, my 8 month old Grandcat, got stuck in a really high tree, inside a locked allotment. He'd been missing at this point for 24 hours:eek:My DD rang both the RSPCA, n the fire brigade who both couldn't help .By this time the cat , DD n the Grandkids were all screaming. Anyway luckily one of their neighbours brought a ladder, n SIL finally went up get him, in thr pitch black. He's now home n under house arrest for a while :rotfl:
I couldn't cope with the worry of a cat going missing
Anyway, must dash, but Huggles for all the poorlies n peed offs today :A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Nelski, nice to see you back:mad: re the favourite pub  Do these people not realise that fancy decor is no substitute for good, tasty food priced reasonably. Do they have a website where you can make your feelings known? Hopefully enough people will walk away & they might rethink.
TA, please do not beat yourself up about the lack of Christmas spirit - it is to be expected. Sounds like your DD is having a marvellous time in Munich. What is it about Christmas festivities that makes people so inconsiderate  I was fortunate enough to work on small departments & we picked something to do rather than a sit down meal. Hello all
Apologies for the late post, but this is the first time I've had to sit down and relax today. I started to post earlier but Dad walked through the door and stayed for tea, so gave up the idea of posting. He was a bit argumentative, but I'm sorry to say I was glad when he went home.
Anyway will not bore you silly with my day and will post tomorrow, promise. However it may be later in the day again as I have bloods in the am and then shopping to do before we return home. )
Nelski :A I do understand how you feel, but I was a bit worried as you are always posting before me. Glad you're ok even if a bit meh. Gentle hugs coming your way.
Thinking of the poorly people, or the poorly OH's and hugs to anyone going through tough times.
I have read today's posts, but nothing much has stuck in the old grey matter.
Note to self......... " must do better tomorrow !" :rotfl:
Take care all
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0
