Because those are the guidelines.
6 weeks for a final bill, and another 2 weeks thereafter for settlement.
It may be a lit longer in these difficult circumstances where a supplier has ceased to trade.
Glad you agree with me on that oneMr.Everready wrote: »Lots of people maybe do say fake things of TP,
There is no agreement as to what is owed, how much, to who, until the final bill is produced (and then agreed by the customer)Mr.Everready wrote: »are you suggesting that dizastru is also telling porkies, even though his story is exactly the same ?0 -
But EE/Ovo took his money when he wasn't even a customer !
If your last supplier took a DD from your bank account would you be happy to wait weeks/months for it to returned ? I don't think so.0 -

The account remains open until it is setlled.
All debts are not wiped as soon as the supplier ceases to supply (which is probably a good thing if the poster is at all accurate about the status of the account
)
It's the same with all energy suppliers
Yes, it happens to many of us when we change supplier.Mr.Everready wrote: »If your last supplier took a DD from your bank account would you be happy to wait weeks/months for it to returned ? I don't think so.
It will be included in the final bill.
It may not be returned - it may be used to offset some of the money still owed to the supplier.
What's the sudden urgency? The poster seemed to be unconcerned being £200 in credit... :cool:
If you are unhappy to accept this method of payment - do not accept paying this way from the outset ... but it may cost you quite a bit more!0
