We went down to the Charante region just north of the Dordogne. It was lovely and the weather was fab but I just feel so bad about adding to the debt. I'll get through it though - hell in years gone by we've put our whole holidays on the cards and not thought twice about it! Its funny how 12 months of MS DFW ways change you isn't it.

I know £700 is a not and isn't compared to our overall debt. I think the scary thing for me was that I'd been so focused on the everyday debt that I hadn't given the holiday budget too much thought. Still at least there was a budget in the first place! Lesson learned.

I've just looked at my first post and my holiday budget was £267 pm = £3204 which would have been enough. This was cut back to £200 pm along with a few other things to make ends meet which, we had a difference of £64pm  .

Maybe its time to post a new SOA up?

Took the kids out for most of the day today to a Maize Maze. Great fun but not cheap. I decided very last minute so as a result only took drinks and a snack. Cost £20 all in (including an ice cream treat) and great fun was had by all. In the holidays I try to take them out for something different at least once per week to asuage my guilt for when I'm working in the holidays.

At the Maze place there were a couple of shops and in I bought 3 Christmas presents !! :xmassmile This must be the earliest I've ever started my Christmas shopping. They were all lovely and good value and only £28 spent. So I now need to start my list for that. In previous years I've forgotten when I bought early and bought something else for the person!

Hopefully three low to no spend days coming up since I am at work!

A huge mountain of holiday ironing is calling to me tonight..........the joys!

Just managed to pick up a couple of mystery shops, one of which is slightly more complicated so worth a little more:cool: . Listed 12 books on green metropolis - no speed selling on here but it has generated me a moderate amount of money. So fingers crossed.

Right now I really can't avoid the ironing any longer!
