Spam button?

I reported a spam post the other day and just had a message from the Forum Team sent to my email address which reads:-
Am I missing something? The spam button vanished a long time ago, all I see is the report button. (using the 'blue' default forum skin)
Thank you for reporting Forum spam to us. We really appreciate your help keeping the forums spam free,We have a favour to ask you.
We have a dedicated spam button on forum posts that we ask forumites to use where the post is definitely spam. Clicking that button reports the spammer to us via a system designed specially to deal with spam and helps us handle it quicker than the report button.
It would be great if you can use the spam button in future. There's no need to report it to us as well..

So the email was sent in error and I should ignore it?"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

Can't speak for MSE, but I would guess it was just a generic reply that doesn't discriminate whether the recipient has the button or not.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

It's odd because it is the first time I've had an email like that, but not the first time I've reported spam recently."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0
