If anyone can help with instructions,as easy to understand as possible please, I'll be so relieved. I have posted on The Energy Forum on behalf of a lady who has had problems with Economy 7 bills. This post is to ask for help to print the Flow 5 page Statement/Revised Bill.
I have wasted so many pages, more than twenty, trying to change the Statement to be able to print in a darker readable format. Flow have instructions and I have also tried several ways from Google. So far nothing has worked. I must be doing something wrong. I have tried to 'save' once I have followed instructions but nothing seems to work.
Despite my efforts, everytime I follow the unstructions, the five pages always come out so pale and feint that they cannot be read.
I am bordering on giving up although I would like to print the revised bill so that it can be read properly as I think it is still not accurate. I'll be relieved if there is a straightforwared way of doing it, many thanks in advance.

Select black and white when printing.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I have tried to do that, forgotmyname. I 'saved changes' after selecting 'black and white' and the bill still printed in a very pale extremely difficult to read format.
I really would like to print it although I now have well over 20 printed copies - none can be read with any ease at all. Thank you for replying. On the screen the bill looks very clear with strong black print and numbers but does not print out like that. My ink levels are good.
I feel sure I must be doing something wrong. Thanks for replying.

Although this may well not be a pleasant experience, tell your story to Customer Services, who may be able to assist.
Saying what is your PDF reader (Adobe?) and your printer (make and model) might give someone an idea for a solution...0 -
It is Adobe and HP Envy 100 printer, John Gray and thanks for your advice. As you have suggested I have sent a message to Flow Customer Services on line. There is a link on their website to change from pdf but is too complicated and, when I tried and printed again, it made no difference. Thanks.

Does the PDF file itself look pale and faded?
When you say Adobe, do you mean Adobe Reader? Which exact version? (Open it and check Help | About)
A quick search yields the link below - have a play with the Accessibility settings to improve the contrast:

PS - have you checked the printer to make sure it is printing OK? (Try printing a test page or printer info page to rule out the printer as the source of the issue).0 -
Thanks very much, Doam. My printer prints everything else, including Word documents, normally. The Flow bills print but are so very pale that it is impossible to read them.
Tomorrow I'll check the Adobe verion and will open the link you have given.

Have you tried opening it with MS Edge?
I use FoxIt for all my pdf stuff and had one that was problematic to print.
Save the statement, then right click and select 'open with' and chose Microsoft Edge.
Any better???0 -
Thank you for all the replies. I have Windows 7 and Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2019.008.20081.
I tried opening with Firefox and it printed the same 'too pale to read' as before, although I selected 'black and white. On the download it looks pale but can be read all right.
To compare, I printed my own energy PDF statement (not Flow) and it printed perfectly in black and white and is so easy to read.
I am going to try the link given by DoaM # 6 and see if I have some success. - Update: I think I followed all the details from the link accurately and checked OK - it still printed out the same pale version as before. It is a mystery. Unfortunately I can't keep 'trying' because, although to pale to read, it is using quite a bit of ink.
As far as I know there has not been any other reply from Flow to the lady yet. I keep reminding myself that there has been significant progress in that she has a revised bill and a credit to her account.

Go to this website:
https://smallpdf.com/
Select the option PDF to Word then upload your PDF file and then download the Word file which will be in a .docx format.
You should then be able to print a readable copy, if the colour of the text in Word is still too light then just change the font colour to black.0
