Only using it for the interest! £6.25 a month per account isn’t too be sniffed at :money:
This might be a stupid question but if there’s £1,500 in the account after paying £500 in you get the interest. If the interest makes the balance £1,506.25 and you do the £500 in and out again, as the balance is over £1,500. Will the interest not apply?
Interest is only paid on the first £1500, so anything over that won't be gaining interest. In order to maximise every penny, I skim off the interest at the start of every month into another account that will pay interest.0 -
just got a call about my complaint (from 3 mths ago ?!)0

Our individual accounts were closed yesterday as per the agreement with Nat west, and I have today opened 2 new ones..no problem in opening
I question I have was I had to register again for online banking with a new user name, but of course the joint accounts and my credit card account are on the old user name..
I tried calling the helpline but just kept getting invalid number (I don't know if that's their problem or O2s)
If that's what's got to be then it's only a nuisance, but is there an easy way to resolve this
ThanksNo.79 save £12k in 2020. Total end May £11610

Of course the joke with TSB is their unique 'Close your account' function - known as 'take it to the Branch'. So the only 'civilised' way to close their current account IS to switch away cos they can't manage it by themselves......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
I thought this was a thread about having lots and lots of them!!0
