This challenge is about setting yourself a weekly / monthly target of how many No Spend Days you would like to try and achieve during the month of December.
Keep us updated with your progress and hope you all enjoy the challange.
To join,
just post your personal target and you are on your way.
Tips for the challenge;
1. Decide on a clear goal weekly or monthly of how many No Spend days you'd like to try and achieve
2. Create a list of allowances...What counts as a spend and what doesn't. Keep the list on you so you don't fall of the wagon or make exceptions for everything
3. Keep a tally of how many NSDs you get. See if you can beat your previous amount!
We CAN do it.
Maybe not the best month to be doing NSD's but every little helps

I am going to go for 14 this month.
We will see!
As usual I will exclude food & petrol if under budget.
Physio & yoga are also excluded as I consider them to be essential.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Sign me up for 10 please.
I did spend today but on Christmas & anniversary gift which was budgeted so i'm not counting it as a spend... Is it okay to only count anything that I've not planned as a spend day?
I'll be putting £1 away for every No Spend I have.
Starting small this month, I've been so bad recently so going back to basic steps
Getting off to a great start though by writing down all expenses .
And.... pleased to say I've finished paying my fiance off,
In fact i paid him £5 over.:heartpuls Getting married 21.09.19 :heartpuls

Please can you put me down for 10 NSDs. I didn't do as well as hoped last month
but need to keep on tackling the finances with renewed determination. The only exclusion I'm counting is diesel.

Today was a spend day.
It was my turn to pay for food,
we missed date night as we both had busy days in work on Wednesday.
Had an amazing Burger King meal though,:heartpuls Getting married 21.09.19 :heartpuls

I have decided to have 15 NSD during December so I can pay off my debt quicker, build up my savings or just use the extra cash as buffer in my current account.
I’m currently on my 2nd NSD but it’s partly enforced as I only have £2 in my account until Monday. I do have a £600 arranged overdraft but I really want to avoid using it.
On my NSD I am only allowing myself to spend money on essential travel costs and food that I actually need so things like milk, bread and fruit. But not takeaways/expensive paninis/ready meals. Although thinking about it I’m tempted to cut all of that out of my diet anyway as it’s such a waste of money.
If I am at College on a NSD then I’ll allow myself a coffee/cheap lunch. I’ve set a budget of £8 a week as I’m at college 2 days a week.
I’ve tried to make most of my NSD spread across the days when I’ll be off work & college so it’ll be easier to avoid the temptation to spend.CC Debt:£450 Emergency Fund: £1,500 Sealed Pot Challenge 2020 #042: £750
