Is there really anything wrong with still using the IHD to give a visual guide of daily/weekly/monthly usage, as long as people know they shouldn't rely on them for actual readings and need to take them directly from the gas/electric meters (and keep their own records of those readings)?
mac.d - do you use yours ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
And that is the issue as there have been posts over the year from people giving the gas kWh reading to their supplier. :eek:as long as people know they shouldn't rely on them for actual readings and need to take them directly from the gas/electric meters (and keep their own records of those readings)?
And wondering why the bill is so large.0 -
I don't have a smart meter. I do spend some time somewhere that does have a smart meter though, and I quite like the convenience of the IHD to have a rough guide to how much energy has been used. Obviously it wouldn't be as useful if it wasn't showing the full details because it no longer worked properly after switching...
