Report your employer to the relevant authorities for not allowing you to take holidays.0

If exchange had been Friday, that'd be 28/12. If exchange is Monday, that'd be 31/12.
Why would anybody not think those ideal dates for completion and moving...?

Employers can lawfully dictate when employees may or may not take holidays, providing they not prevent an employee taking their statutory holiday allowance within a 12 month period. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I would struggle with a week - would not be possible to take 2-3 hours during a working day to get things organised. I rarely even manage my half hour lunch break. And I often don't get home till between 6 and 7 pm if the motorway is bad, by which time places are generally closed. It does depend on individual circumstances.
Do you work 7 days a week?0 -
She is working in your interest and trying to get across the message that it would be in your interest to get on with it.
(Of course it is also in her interest of getting paid!)
If the 7th really is too stressful then suggest some date between the two. Never understood why people want to complete on Friday anyway, higher risk of delay without help if something slips up.
It's much easier to fund a removal company available at short notice on other days of the week too.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
As an owner of a Removal company ,it's becoming more common for people not having much notice for moving dates, and for dates to constantly change . Most removal companies are used to this and will take provisional bookings....tho be wary if they ask for a depositVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0
