Made it home :j there was a long hold up at Balloch roundabout because of roadworks, at least it wasn't an accident which would have closed the road.

I did a little shopping this morning and that was it! My place is really cold but I'm not lighting the woodburner so late in the day. I'm all wrapped up and will go into bed when darkness arrives so I can snuggle down to SCD.
  • Very late reporting in :rotfl:

Thank you for starting us off silver-oldie :T Hope the dm visit wasn’t too awful :D

Damp & dreary today, so very grateful that I didn’t have to out :T
DH has filled the bird feeders including the fat ball feeder which was empty after 36 hours:eek:
He has also re-hung the new peanut feeder in the tree so that the squirrels cannot get at it. Within 2 minutes of re-hanging there was a very annoyed squirrel - he couldn’t reach :rotfl: DH has also emailed the co. that sent the new fat log holder - it was broken  He is about to wash down the bathroom walls - bright yellow - quick coat of white then a sky blue coat of paint. Nothing fancy or time consuming as 2019 will be the year of the New Bathroom :D

I have disinfected & scrubbed clean the two water bowls so the birds, squirrels & foxes have fresh water. Also trimmed & sliced the other cavalo nero - bagged & frozen, as well as chopping, bagging & freezing the stale sourdough for croutons. Managed to rescue the very bland pumpkin soup - liberal dose of paprika, some black pepper & added saut!ed lo new potatoes from last night - tasty. Am currently binge watching The 4400 - 5 episodes every Saturday & am about to carry on knitting.

tru, thanks for the carol & I like the idea of December Eve :T

Nelski, YUMMY - did you make enough for all of us :D

LaineyT, good luck with the mane taming :)

WeeMidgie, thanks for the welcome back :T Well done with the yoga - hope you & your friend find a class more to your liking next year.

Gers, glad you are on the mend :) Very MSE :money: - enjoy your snuggle :D

camelot, dust bunnies always hide in the most inconvenient places :D

Happy Anniversary dumpling - posh chocolates - I think I might treat myself tomorrow :rotfl:

nmlc, what a wonderful thing to see a butterfly on sad occasions.

ancientofdays, I have one of those too - cannot seem to see the hairs from shaving :rotfl:

Hester, hope the opticians appointment went well.

csarina, hope the sewing is going well. All day breakfast - might have to add that to next week’s menu plan :D

Organza_Lace, hope you manage to get rid of the cough soon - very wearying especially if it is affecting your sleep :( Drs appointment ?

_taff, it must be so nice to be able to taste again :) personally I am glad you weren’t the other kind of ‘trampy’ - I can now wipe my mind of you ‘trolling’ night clubs :rotfl: However not at all happy about the picture of “hairless exhausted slugs” :(

redruby, a tidy house :T I can only dream :D. Happy Birthday to your OH for tomorrow :bdaycake:

Bozwood, sounds busy enough for a Saturday :D

nanny windows, hope you kept some healing vibes for yourself :D If not, have lots from me :) Please don’t try to do too much :)

TA, please do not be too hard on yourself & please do not ‘put your big girl knickers on’ too often :) - you need time. Re your DD & DS - is there something they wouldn’t dream of buying themselves? The DGDs - something to do with their hobbies?

See you all tomorrow - hopefully a bit earlier :rotfl:

:):) Nelski honey if ya got it use it :) ,old ladies get away with anything :)

Just got back from my eldest DDs where we had a super dinner in celebration of what is now (2nd Dec) her 51st birthday. certainly doesn't seem like 51 years ago :)

My DGD Holly (25) was there with her boyfriend and she took a very dim view of my shenanigans (banter) with the firemen Kids today have lost their sense of humour I think . DDs ma -in-law Margaret who is 82 thought like me it was pretty funny :)but like me she doesn't take life so seriously.I am driving up to London on Thursday and we are going to do a bit of Christmas shopping and have lunch out This is her first Christmas without her OH Frank who, bless him lost his battle in January of this year so I shall do my best to keep her spirits up.She is pretty good and we get along very well.
I only have a few bits to buy and we shall have lunch in our favourite cafe its called The Giggling Sausage and they do really nice lunch at a reasonable price with waitress's who really look after the customers.

right no time to toddle off to bed so I'll say good night ,god blees all here

    JackieO xx
