I would hope there was finally some logic appearing and agree, the assessor might be wondering why on earth you had been called to a face to face assessment. I don't understand why this happened and your reasons weren't listened to. But hey ho, lets see what they come back with.

To be honest, I don't know you, but I'm quite peeved they put you through all that given your conditions and age.

I’m know I’m hoping it’s a good outcome. Some people are saying the accessors go out and use the phone come back and then say they can go home mine never she just looked and told me to go home? All I do is worry tbh I’m betting it’s a bad response I’ll let you all know anyway

More likely the person who read the paperwork thought it could be marginal so requested face to face. Once the assessor actually saw the OP it was clear that there was little need to go in depth.

I’m hoping that’s the case lol

How did you reconcile this with your journey to the assessment?

Probably because I had to take 2 morphine tablets and 2 tramadol to even get me out the bed. The taxi was waiting half hour as I couldn’t move. Oh and also the need to use crutches as I have no strength or balance in my legs

No point taking a witness with you if they aren't in the room to witness!

If your PIP & Mobility (I'm not well versed in the disability area) was awarded via paper the based avenue then this could be an indicator that she had all the proof she needed.

    Now, only time will tell.

    Keep us updated.

I never took her for a witness I took her because I can’t go out alone due to my anxiety. I’ll let you know what happens anyway

    Sigh.

Probably with a lot of help from other people, and inconvenience to the OP.

    At least someone understands 🙄

    Sigh

It was a perfectly reasonable question.

It could be that the DWP were not convinced for some reason that the OP is bed bound so wanted to confirm it.

Unfortunately, by the OP getting out of bed to go to the assessment, they could've actually confirmed the DWP's suspicions.

It might've been better for the OP to have not gone at all in order to reinforce the assertion that they are bed bound.

I’ve never told them I’m bed bound I told them ‘SOME TIMES I CANT GET OUT OF BED DUE TO SEVERITY OF THE PAIN’ witch a health professional confirmed as they’ve seen me so bad I wouldn’t tell them I’m fully bed bound and turn up for an assessment for 1 if I was completely bed bound I wouldn’t be able to go and 2 I’d be very stupid to lie. I understand what ur saying I just worded it wrong
  • Hi, i remember turning up at the JCP for appointment when i was really ill and in a lot of pain.

The lady i saw said oh my god you should have phoned and told me there was no need to come out if you are that ill.

My 30 minute appointment lasted about 5 enough time for the taxi to return and take me back home.

Maybe this was the case for the OP ?

Thank you for acknowledging that you worded it wrongly tommy, stating that you were bed bound in a previous post allowed a poster to sigh and question why another poster asked how you had reconciled bed bound at the assessment.Causes so much angst on here when someone attacks another poster for a perfectly valid post.

So once again thank you tommy. You are a credit to your youth.

    bedbound(Adjective)

unable to leave one's bed for some reason, which is not the same as able to leave bed with help is it.
