PCN received with wrong location

Hi I received a parking ticket last year with the location in Pembrokeshire. I contacted the company to advise I was in Bradford at the time and sent them a confirmation of the hotel i stayed at. They then sent a picture of my car and increased the fee. I filed a defence and now I have received a court letter to attend on 22nd February 2019 as the case has been referred to a small claims department.

sounds about right (typical) , its your vehicle they are worried about, not where you were (they dont monitor people, just vehicles)

read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread where it explains the process

which PPC is it ? ( which claimant ? )

Were you able to confirm to them that your car was in Bradford too?

    Hi

Yes I advised them I was in Bradford. The PCN came from UK Car Management LTd

he asked if the car was in Bradford, not where you were, it is the vehicle looking like yours with your VRM they are saying was in wales, not where you were

this may seem pedantic, but they are saying that they are holding you for this transgression of your vehicle because your vehicle was in wales , and you are responsible

even if you were in Cuba on holiday its where your vehicle was at the time and date they photographed it that matters

so this is UK CPM then ? (via Gladstones ?)

in which case they either got the VRM wrong, or the car park location wrong, or there is a cloned vehicle running round wales

if the picture they sent was your car, then the location is wrong or its a clone

They’ve got the location wrong. As a result I have been asked to attend court in the small claims department. Do I attend? Or do I just pay the fee they are asking

Cannot possibly answer that question without knowing what your Defence is.

In your opening post you said:
They then sent a picture of my car...
Is it a picture of your car?

Is it a picture of your car in Pembrokeshire?

Is it a picture of your car in a car park in Bradford?
