Ninth Anniversary 1,000 Posts I've been Money Tipped!
    One UU this morning:

Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It (Fine) 60ml WDBA and have. I have a replacement and bigger tube of this on it's way from Space NK. I love this stuff. Helps tame my unruly hair when I can't be arsed to dry my hair, which to be honest, is most of the time.

I've been a bit bad. I found a recommendation for a website where you can buy Japanese skincare products on and they'll send them directly from Japan. And the prices were so much cheaper compared to other websites I've used. So I made a tiny order. But those won't arrive until next month anyway.

I'll also need to buy a back up of my daily morning cleanser/2nd evening cleanser and I'll need some more of my daily SPF soon. And probably my moisturiser as well. I do have some discount codes for the website I buy most of these from so I might make a few small orders for them. But I'll probably do that next month.

Derma V10 conditioner (little one that comes with the hair dye) which I used earlier in December. WBA: HG!
I just want to shout from the rooftops how amazing this box dye is, I got natural looking results and it was £1.99 from B&M (though apparently Poundland also sell it) and it is the only hair dye I have found that is vegan and under £10!

Hi! New to MSE but long time lurker. I’ve been a bit in denial but after some extended family got me a number of gift sets for Xmas I decided to do a stock take and had a....shock! Think around 7kg in total of shower gel (I’m a lush addict...) and 4kg of body lotions (please give me tips to use these up!). And lots of make up (I don’t wear much usually because I’m lazy....but I do like to look nice). Oh and I have a massive body spray/perfume addiction.

The good news is some things I am on top of - hair products, deodorant, dental stuff, and the bath bomb pile is decreasing. Ok that’s not much. But I’m determined to stick with this and get the stash down in 2019. All advice welcome :)

Welcome! Fellow slightly reformed Lush addict here... I had a beauty product ban all through 2018 but only discovered this thread last month, honestly the only reason my stash isn't out of control is because I just banned myself from getting stuff, tracking purchases here is a great way to be accountable. I did start by decluttering before the ban and gifting unwanted stuff to friends and family. - look up beauty collection decluttering videos on Youtube for some inspo :)

I realised last night I haven't bought a nail polish in 6 months and I'm so proud of myself! :j
Buying nail polish definitely used to be my crutch when I was feeling sad!

I realised yesterday that my foundation is about to run out. I’ve been using it for 3 months which is the usual rare that I go through them. This was the Bare Minerals Bare Pro Serum Foundation and I loved the sheerness and coverage however the packaging got really messy. Looking to buy something similar from Boots with AP. Any recommendations.

not sure what your price range is but this sounds really similar to the Urban Decay Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup... which is absolutely brilliant!

Just want to say I'm still a newbie so apologies for the triple post here will try and do quotes replies all in one post from now on :)

    I have a uu

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon Plum Russian - finally finished it, lovely colour but wore off quickly and didn't really leave a stain like the Revlon ones do.

    .

Yay well done. Did you keep a tally of the makeup items you finished. I aimed to finish 18 but included staples like foundation, concealer, powder and mascara. Discounting those staples I finished 17 which consisted of 1 blush (Benefit Dallas), 5 eyeshadows, 1 highlighter (No7 GWP which I used as eyeshadow as the pan was too small for a face brush) and 9 lip products (8 of which were full sizes). I Have items with pan and a lipgloss with stopper removed but don’t think I can finish these in the few days remaining of the year.

In estee lauder block buster. the eye shadows are pale neutrals and have loads of transition shades.
vichy face wash and mini moisturizer

Out give away loads of unopened colours that i must have been wearing sun glasses buying. So they suit the recipient more than me but glad for it to go from mistaken to hopefully used.

I have been good with the sales and so far nill in but who knows. I am looking for a new fragrance

What kind of fragrance do you like?

Welcome. Literally taking stock of what you have is a first step. Do you have multiple items open and in use? If so, work through them first. Ascertain what products are the oldest in your stash and rotate them in next. If the urge to use new stuff happens maybe “treat” yourself to one of these after you’ve used up a set number of old products. I find rotating make up weekly stops me getting bored. Establish what your buying triggers are. I’m currently unsubscribing from emails. Watch YouTube videos about panning. Some of them are really tenacious. Limit or stop watching YouTube new product reviews.

    Hope this helps x

I wouldn’t be hard on yourself. I feel the need to buy in the Sales too. The Boots branch I went in yesterday though was bedlam. Couldn’t move in the gift aisles and the number of men who had been “parked up” while there partners wandered about was annoying. Send him outside like I do, for ***** sake. I was only trying to see if there were any Yankee Candle on sale (which they’re weren’t.

I can’t declutter en masses but don’t mind culling as I go if I find something doesn’t work for me anymore.

Well done on the nail polish resilience. I feel that I now can resist buying any other beauty product. I did watch a YouTube video earlier of the new OPI Tokyo Collection and there is only one that caught my eye (only because it’s similar to one I own that has been discontinued).

Thanks. I opted for the NYX one. Was trying to buy with AP. Would like to try the UD one at some point though.
