We had a particular issue witha Voucher company and a bed last summer and raised the matter on Trustpilot. The Company suppressed the review, I posted another with evidence they suppressed this as it contained an employee's name and referenced their right to privacy. This name was listed multiple times on trustpilot responding to ''good reviews''. Their attitude kind of got be a bit irritated and as I had a couple of weeks spare I did some investigating on the company and thier suppliers and found some information they were aware of but had failed to disclose. Namely that the supplier was a ''mirror'' company - there was not any discount and the bed was listed on the real site for exactly the same price, and more importantly was not made in the UK but shipped in as the UK maufacturer was not UK but actually in China. Interestingly the supplier company was also gazzetted at Company's house and in danger of closure (and was a few weeks later) I raised all this with Trustpilots compliance - no action was taken that I am aware of. More to the point I also raised and evidenced the amount of fake reviews posted about this voucher company and who their owners actually were and their IT expertise and degree from Cambridge was for and asked them to look at the prima facia gaming of the review system and its algorithms. I am still waiting for a response. However there is value in this and all other review sites. my perseverance and continual posting with evidence got us our money back from the voucher company - I was convalescing anyway and was immobile so it took my mind of the pain and filled the time. - Do look up who you are buying from at Company's house also!

I was reading the reviews of a well known high street / retail fixed probate fee firm on trustpilot as the experiences reported were what I was experiencing myself. Then I saw the company take 'ownership' ,and a review changed from 1 star to 5. The reviewer had said his experience was so bad he would pursue a refund. I can only assume he got his refund in exchange for changing his review. A few positive reviews then started to get posted, followed by a flood of positive reviews the other weekday morning, all around the same time to bring the rating from its 1* it has sat at for sometime to 3*. No doubt it will soon be 5* like the feefo site .... which is the one I was directed to before signing up with them.
