Confused

Hi all

Recently received a red ticket on my windscreen and a follow up PCN in the post.

I’ve read the sticky but I’m confused as to which one fits my scenario. The charge was from Vehicle Control Services and the template I’ve seen which relates to them has some stuff in there about supplying evidence, which they have.

Please can someone point me in the right direction??

The Keeper just needs to copy and paste and send the appeal template from the NEWBIES. It's a one size fits all, so there shouldn't be any confusion. This assumes the keeper lives in England or Wales.

Where did this occur? Retail park, shop, hospital etcetera?

How long after the NTD did the NTK arrive?

Have you complained to the landowner/retail manager yet?

    Thanks for the reply

Wasn’t sure if I was to leave it all in as they have supplied photos.

Haven’t appealed to landowner as I’m struggling to find out who it is. The car was ticketed outside an apartment complex parked on what looks to be a council area. The signs were behind some Bollards which Look as if they form the land boundary and The car isn’t parked within these.

The NTK arrived inside just over a week after

Edit your post to remove information about who parked. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people. ;)

Can you give us the location please, it may be on Google Earth.

What did the NTD say? Was it a "This is not parking charge" jobby?

This is important because for keeper liability to apply, a NTK must arrive much later than one week after the alleged event where a NTD was left in the windscreen. However, if there was no NTD then the NTK must arrive within 15 days.
Some scammers have managed to kid the DVLA that leaving a note on the windscreen that says, This is not a PCN, means they can ignore the strict requirements of the PoFA 2012.
Personally I would like to see this challenged in court.

Whatever else you do, please complain to your MP using the info from post 1 of the NEWBIES about the comments that have been made in open parliament about these bloodsuckers.

  • Yeah it just said this is not a parking charge.

The NTK came approx 10 days after.

So my question is do I still use the template in light of the photo evidence they’ve provided?

I’ll deffo be making a complaint to my MP.

so its the old myparkingcharge sc@m, which has been well documented on here over the last 2 years !!

yes you use the template, no alterations, its a "one size fits all"

but bear in mind that you are only going "through the motions"

they wont cancel their invoice , so expect a rejection

deffo complain to your MP, you can see the progress on the new bill here
