Flight delay due to Cruise ship technical fault

It is such a shame that, optimistically, maybe 5% of the passengers on this flight will get compensation....
The next flight I am on which is delayed, i will endeavour to get contact details for every passenger to relay compensation results....
Ryanair on Saturday...

While it would be optimistic to expect airlines to seek out passengers and pay compensation for every delayed etc flight, is it reasonable to push for a regulation that once there has been a finding either by a court or through ADR ( e.g.CEDR) that one passenger was entitled to compensation then, in those circumstances the airline should pay compensation to all the passengers whether or not they make a claim?
I know that some judges used to direct that the airline disclose any other claims arising out of the same flight forthis very reason.
