"Once you have met the cashback criteria for the first time, you will begin to be charged the £1 monthly fee."
"To qualify for cashback:
Pay in at least £500 a month (see Condition 4) Have at least two active Direct Debits Any participant to log on to Online or Mobile Banking at least once every three months. Household bills must be paid by Direct Debit."
So as I said - don't pay in the £500 and you don't qualify for cashback - never qualify for cashback & you don't ever get charged £1 fee.0 -

But paying in at least £500 a month is also a condition of holding the account (condition 4) completely separate from the conditions to qualify for cashback. I've just been through this very scenario. The way to avoid ever paying the £1 monthly fee is simply to avoid having two or more active direct debits. But if you fail to pay in at least £500 per month(ly statement period) you are in breach of the conditions for holding the account, as well as not qualifying for cashback.0 -

Are you sure you don't have to pay the minimum £500 per month to qualify in holding the 123 Lite account?0
