I order a phone Samsung Galaxy S9 during black friday . It was too good order with 36 pounds per month but with cashback of 480 over 5 installments
They approve the order after 5 days and now asking me to send a copy of proof of address and driving licence... Is that normal for this company? Or it is just a scam trying to get my details ..????

What on earth do you think they are going to do with the information ?

Why not phone them tomorrow and ask them.

These detail why your asked forproof of address.

They appear to be legit company from reviews on other website... But the mist recent reviews were heavily negative because of delayed shipping and order cancellation... There is no complaints about illegal company or people got their accounts or money stolen .
On the other hand , no one mentioned in the reviews that the company requesting proof of address.. it could be they are afraid that i will escape with the phone...

If you haven't lived at your address for long, it's a standard thing for any company to ask for.

I have just finished a two year contract with Mobilephonesdirect and would take another one with them if I was getting a good deal.

The request for proof of address and DL is standard.

If you make sure you comply with the exact terms of the cashback you should have no trouble. Just be certain you understand how and when to claim.
