Hello all
well I caught the dreaded Covid and have been v v unwell. I literally have not got out of bed except to go to the loo. Then holding onto the furniture as my legs are so wobbly😢. Today I seriously thought it was Thursday, apparently it is Friday, not sure what happened to Weds/Thursday!I haven’t even looked at my seedlings 🤞they are ok. I am yet to plant any brassicas or peas. Sweetcorn I don’t plant until May as I find it doesn’t do well planted earlier. I am hoping to feel better tomorrow and actually get up!Preps wise I discovered that teenage boys go to McDs, local takeaway etc rather than cook even the most basic of things, not even ready meals! They also go and buy the most unhealthy, expensive cereal as they know they can get away with it!

Sorry to hear you're not very well @elaine241
Hope you feel better soon. At least the boys are eating something! My dd had toasted teacake with chocolate spread every day for breakfast for most of her secondary school years and lived to tell the tale! My theory is so long as they eat something, they can catch up with the healthy food later on.2025 Fashion on the ration

I'm so sorry to hear you've been so poorly Elaine. I hope today proves to be a better day. Take it easy, don't try to rush back to normal too quickly as I hear that often sets people back xFebruary wins: Theatre tickets7

I've been wondering about keeping a can of petrol or 2 as we are having issues getting petrol again around here. Normally I keep the car fairly full, but thought if I had a spare can it will at least keep us going in an emergency. I remember reading somewhere that it goes off, but not looked into it too much yetMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

You’re only allowed to keep a certain amount of properly-stored petrol at home at any time.
The Health and Safety Executive states that individuals are limited to storing 30 litres of petrol without a licence. However, this can only be done with certain restrictions on the type of container:
- Plastic container - storing up to 10 litres
- Metal container - storing up to 20 litres
- Demountable fuel tank - storing up to 30 litres
You will need to contact the Petroleum Enforcement Authority if you wish to keep more than 30 litres at home.
There is no specific legal requirement on the storage of diesel in your home.

I have 2 x 5 litre green plastic jerry cans that XH got to keep petrol in for lawn mower and another he used to use for racing his cars. Neither were actually used in the end and currently have nothing in. They are stored in the garage that is unattached to the house. I realise these small containers wont get us that far, but would hopefully go a little way if tanks were close to empty and fuel stations were all out (been a real problem here lately)Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
