My family used to laugh at me for collecting spare stocks of food, when we went to the supermarket at least once a week, but over the last year or so, they've seen the error of their ways, when we've had to do online shopping! We don't always get what we've ordered, or the alternative just isn't quite right, so my cupboard under the stairs has been very useful. I will still keep my stocks up to a reasonable level for us, but not overdo it. I think I will continue shopping online, and then I only need venture out for the odd special item of food when I really need to.
I've planted my runner beans out this morning, and the potatoes and peas have been growing outside for a few weeks now. I started some cosmos seeds in yogurt pots a while ago and they were ready to go out into planters too. I cut the 'lawn' and hung the washing out so I'm going to have a lazy afternoon, probably knitting. I'm making a baby blanket with tiny pompom yarn which is awful to knit with, so the quicker it's done, the quicker I can start something else!

Thanks daz for ur post good idea about starting a new cupboard for the new stock If I may I will be using this idea when I restart my stock up
I have been trying to use up for a long time now not going down as quickly as I'd hoped Its just me and the staffie it's took him 6month to get through half of a 12kg bag of food and I rarely eat more than once a day need to do better n not easy when you don't feel like eating much I've recently been told I'm anemic so havingto eat with the iron tablets not easy cos my go to food is usually cornflakes but I've found out that milk eggs and a mug of tea are off the list so struggling a bit
I'm looking forward to restocking when I've moved been on the list 5yrs 5months and counting came close a couple of times but council do not like people who have preps( to them we are hoarders) I've had to part with quite a lot I don't mind so much if its helping someone but at the same time if I'd not had the extra items I would possibly of been needing some help so it's like you're dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.
Once I'm moved I'm hoping to get back to around 4 to 6 months worth of non food item and probably 4monts of food before winter cos winter and me don't do to good arthritis in both knees dodgy hip etc so I like to be able to stay in we don't get much if any snow so it's mostly the cold and damp that keeps me in
I like the idea of a radio that can charge a phone and charge on solar too I have a couple ofwind up torches but the charge doesn't last very long and not that bright probably about 10 yrs old now so very old compared to the ones available now do u have any idea which one you will be getting ?
In other news I will be getting my 2nd covid jab on Friday 4th June they've brought it forward only a bit was 17th n so not by much 1st one was fine although my anxiety didn't agree the s room started spinning hope I can avoid that this time

Anybody heard from GreyQueen lately? Or Jojo the tightfisted?
We're all doomed12 -
Greyqueen is alive and well, dividing her time between home, work, her family and her allotment. The fine weather has brought out all the weeds so she's being kept busy. One life - your life - live it!19

Have you read about GPs sharing our personal data with google unless we dissent?I am minded to dissent, but worry what the reaction will be next time I ask for a GP appointment. 'Oh, sorry Mr JK0, we don't have any for six weeks', or some such nonsense. What are you folks doing?

My family like many others have opted out. Our GP and many others disagree with a data bank with confidential information being available at a price. I don't think any Dr would treat you differently for opting out. The majority who took the First do no harm oath still remember their duty is to the patient.pollyIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.10 -
How do you opt out? Heard nothing from anyone and GP practice is 45 minute hold, if you can get in the queue/If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing7
