I am still here lurking. I need to get back to being more logical and 2 days of crying has resulted in me looking like a swarm of bee's have stung me.

I'm on the case with the Christening, I've heard back from the vicar this morning, we are allowed 10 people which is perfect as we make 5, my parents 2 and my sister and 2 grown up children 3 and it would only be 2 households. My sister and niece can be God parents. I've preliminary held a christening outfit at a children's clothing store where I bought the other 2 childrens outfits I just need to measure the chunky one! I can then put that to my Dad to decide what he would like to do once the vicar gets back to me with dates.

Good for you, Thrifty.  As for looking like a swarm of bees ... I was going to rabbit something about the Countess of Wessex having obviously been crying and the respect shown to her genuine emotions, but there's a little quote that says it all, a bit cliched but so, so true: "those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind".

Anybody still interested in prepping-type stuff?  Or is there no need for it now that Brexit's been forgotten about and this Covid lark's apparently all over bar the shouting, judging by the way some folks round here are carrying on?

Nothing's changed here, still prepping, still growing our own, still being sensible and staying with the covid rules, still living as lightly as we can on the planet!
