As a fifty-something classified as clinically vulnerable (but fortunately not extremely clinically vulnerable) who has to work for a living in a keyworker job, I'd be delighted to have any Covid vaccine right now. Without fretting about which one and % of probable safety or otherwise. One of my colleagues died of Covid last month and several more have been hospitalised. The rest of us are sad - and scared.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Yes, there is a lot of parental frustration :Dand glue. So much glue. All types haha. I'd never heard of shibori dyeing before. And now I'm thinking 'there's some fabric dye in the cupboard, you've never used. There's your weekend project!' haha. I feel like that would be overly ambitious with a 4 year old though.I started typing this ages ago, then our work network crashed. Only just back on. Just as I finished making (well, attempting to make) gummies with DD.February wins: Theatre tickets13

I've been trying to answer C-J and halfamo about the turmeric, but things happening all day! I started taking it last week with very good results to arthritis, but also to eczema, which I did not expect, so will keep on with it with heartfelt thanks for relief from really debilitating pain in joints.
I'm noticing a lot of little bulbs emerging in the garden, if we should get a bit of snow for a few days, they should do well under their blanket, they always seem to shoot up after snow. I'm planning to plant some salad in indoor pots, which are ready waiting g for the seed, probably by the end of the week as I think the lunar planting time will be right, need a waxing moon, which will shine into the conservatory.
I've had a few side effects from vaccine I got on Saturday, so keeping warm at home and glad I had a stash of paracetamol at hand. DH didn't have any side effects!
We are planning to avoid my usual weekly sm shop, (for the last while it has been fortnightly). Comparatively high rate round here, so we will rather be safe.15 -

Greyqueen so sorry to hear of your colleagues' illnesses and loss. Confidentiality rules are covering up a lot of the consequences of the last year, and our wish not to complain or expect special treatment, we may learn to live with the situation, but with breaking hearts.

Haha, yes. I saw a video yesterday of a young woman who had made a face mask using tumeric, to help her skin........yeah, her face was very yellow still after washing it off! Haha. Made me laugh!

Sorry for the loss of your colleague, @GreyQueen; I hope the others recover fully.I'm delurking briefly to say that I agree wholeheartedly. I also am vulnerable, though not extremely clinically so, and not a keyworker. I'm 60. If I was offered a vaccine tomorrow, I'd take it and be grateful; don't care which one it is.I started taking turmeric - found it available in vege-caps - about six months ago. I'm sorry to say it hasn't made one iota of difference to my pain levels.Back to lurking now.

Turmeric not helping with arthritic hip either, sadly.. Anyone tried CBD? I am right in thinking it’s not dodgy aren’t I?It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!15

I hope anyone who is on a blood thinner knows to avoid turmeric, or at the very least, speak to their doctor.
Such a pity as it seems to be useful for so many things.15
