I shall use this to try for fresh things to see us through the next couple of weeks rather than for storage. In two weeks time we have a Morrissons slot and as far as I know they don't have the 80 items only rule (unless someone knows differently) so I'll transfer all the 'store' items to that list and hope that some of them are available. It will be tins and dried pulses, rice etc. so I hope some of what I want will be available.
T is awful with 80 limit, impossible to shop if buying for multiple households on one shop.
Morries ive found expensive for delivery but produce better and no limits on number of items just on individual items ie 3 etc. However they substitute items or dont put it in your order at all and if the substitute it more expensive you pay the higher price which with our budget I found stressful you cant hand back the substitute either, something to keep in mind.
The A supermarket seems good if can get del you dont pay the higher price and can request a refund online if you arent happy with the substitute.
I can't get a slot at allI try every night (meaning I'm not getting enough sleep!) but despite being there in a queue, all the slots go within seconds. I'm in the lowest vulnerable group, but none of the supermarkets have identified me as being in a vulnerable group, so I'm not priority. So I have to go to the shop 3 times a week for shopping, rather than stay in for 3 months for safety.

Also it stops me touching my face, a constant reminder. There is SOME science (somewhere, I did see (and hear on radio) experts talking about it) that says masks CAN protect against catching it yourself, its just wearing masks might make you touch your face more, therefore might be cancelling out the protection. Personally, I wear that mask, I don't touch my face while wearing, people avoid me, and if it means I get just an extra 10% of protection, that's fine with me.14

The sibling has been left - after 4 weeks in a coma with a trachiotomy and ventilator - needing kidney dialysis for life. There's no guarantee she will be able to walk again.
And yet all the Nightingale Hospitals are said to be fully equipped but standing completely empty. It’s no wonder people are confused, when we were given to believe that the Nightingales were desperately needed to accommodate the hundreds of thousands of people expected to go down with covid19.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Well, apparently they're standing empty because they don't have the personnel to run them. Because they're busy in other hospitals.Bored? What on earth do they think a government can do about a virus except look for a vaccine? How do they not get that the virus is potentially deadly, literally deadly. I just listened to the Cuomo response to the reporter who said [nice touch this] "They're saying that now working is worse than the virus" and even he had difficulty shifting her to the idea that catching the virus means you could die. Or he could die. But if that's the intelligence of a reporter, who's supposed to want to actually investigate stuff, to question everything etc, then no wonder there's been a spike in disinfectant poisonings. Perhaps Boris might mention that and see how many British people can be safely culled.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

There is a suggestion in the media that the government are considering moving all patients with Covid 19 who are currently on ordinary wards into the temporary Nightingale facilities and thereby make hospitals Covid-Free zones again. Normal business could then be resumed. You would still need staff to care for them though, and with hospitals running as normal there would be no chance of releasing staff to man the Nightingale units.
There is also the question of what happens if someone with the disease deteriorates. You would need some system for escalating concerns, such as a Critical Care Outreach Team. You would also need a fully functioning ITU with all equipment and staff necessary to take that patient. Either that or a fully trained transfer team (which involves more than just paramedics) to blue light that patient to the nearest hospital with an ITU.
I think, whilst the Nightingale units seemed a good idea initially, they will end up being a waste of money. Like the mad scramble to source ventilators. They are no good without the people with the proper knowledge and skills to use them.
I am not saying all this as an excuse to have a dig at our current government, I don't think any political party in power could have always done the right thing and made the right decisions. I do think this whole thing is one big learning exercise. Australia have been calling for an international inquiry into the causes and management of the virus and the disease it causes. Good idea, once things have settled, because we can look back on what happened and hopefully learn from it ready for next time. There will be a next time, just a different virus. One life - your life - live it!16 -

There will obviously be variations from region to region. Asda is only place locally to do click and collect. Always plenty of slots available. Couldnt understand why, then I saw the comments on local fb page. Dirty tissues left in the lockers. Whole bags full of items missing etc. So I won't be doing that!!February wins: Theatre tickets9 -
We're a society used to 'instant' in response to 'I want' and it's a very steep learning curve indeed to take on board that this virus is going to be affecting how we live for the foreseeable future so I can understand that people are 'bored' with having to deal with it and being locked down, however you feel about it being locked in is trying and being unable to see family is trying because we're all so used to our 'normal' state of affairs there is bound to be resistance and resentment. That doesn't in any affect the fact that we MUST stay separate from each other for sense's sake, for not making what is a dire situation worse, we cannot begin to think the problem is over and gone after 4 weeks of lockdown because it isn't, the virus is still circulating, people are still becoming ill and dying and the NHS is still functioning and we need to keep it that way because people are in need of it's services and will continue to need them for as long as this situation continues and at this point in time that looks like it's going to be forever with no treatment and no cure and no vaccine other than what's in process of being developed right NOW!
We need to become an adult nation and take in the truth of the pandemic and stop moaning and pushing to get our own way and be let do whatever we want to, for everyones sakes that cannot be allowed to happen!

Very excited 2 days a go when I got an email from milk man they have opened up registration again, I placed my first order for today (it hasn't arrived...yet) I'm hoping they are running late. Prices are alot more than I would normally pay but like the "idea" of. it.
I was reading a parents forum yesterday which I had to stop reading in the end as it was causing me anxiety, they were saying when they want the schools to go back quite alot of people were wanting them to go back next month! A few were saying they aren't sending their children until they know its safe then being mocked by others. We have DS due to start in Sept but will be reviewing it, I feel as if we are between a rock and hard place.
My Dad had a phone call from GP yesterday instructing him to stay in for 3m from NOW, and he is not to go to supermarkets etc and will be getting a letter with contact numbers etc.
The village next to us issued a FB statement to holiday home owners still letting accommodation during lockdown it was a well written stern parish council post as tourists have been seen walking around the village with maps etc.11
