Bob Hope and no hope. Even if this CCTV camera recorded in 4K HD, was zoomed in right to the cash input slot, and could be replayed in super slow motion, the chances of you being to verify whether or not a wad of notes comes to £800 is zero. What you're suggesting is some kind of Blade Runner technology. It doesn't exist.
The machine will either have a record of the deposit or there will be extra notes in the machine, if it indeed dispensed less than was entered (OP, is there ANY chance you could have miscounted the money, intended to deposit £800 but actually left some sitting on the kitchen table, etc?). £100-odd is a lot to be out of pocket so escalate the complaint as far as possible and generally be as big a pain in the backside as you can legally. With any luck they'll give you some "go away" money even if their systems don't show any fault on their side.: )0 -
My local branch tried that, its an online only account please use the machine.
How can it be online only when i opened it in that branch before they even had internet banking?
Simple solution was just take a bag of change to deposit at the same time. The machine does not take random change amounts
I remember it asks you to verify the amount you inserted though, assume you agreed to the value on the screen? Is that the reason why they say its correct?
No additional notes in the machine?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
OP- A good tradesman never blames his tools.
If something goes topsy turvy with machine, then it's clearly your fault. Happens all too often. The driverless car that ran over a pedestian. Can you blame the company that made the car?. No. Pedestrian is to blame, right?
Same.Same. Everyone here is giving you good advice. Have a look on your kitchen table, if the 800 quid is not there, you may have deposited it. But seriously, don't blame the machine or the bank. They never make mistakes.0
