    Some cynical people might think that is twice too often ---- but not me - these places have CCTV all over the plave - ask them to have a look at them.

    I agree but if it is in the right position it might show how many notes were inserted in the machine and if the picture is clear enough their colour - so you can work out how much cash was inserted.

    MY OH says they keep 180 days on their hard drive.

    Does anyone know how many notes a Halifax machine can take at any one time ?

    Can they do that under Data Protection regs? I thought it could only be retained for a month.

    That's the sort of number I was thinking of. I seem to recall a similar earlier thread where a machine reached the maximum and only counted the ones already inserted and rejected the rest.
