Last week the internet showed us we've all been eating corn on the cob the wrong way. And it's not the only eye-openingly educational viral story we've seen this year - we've also learnt which way round to use hair grips, how to eat a pizza slice and even which way you should open a banana.
So what's the best practical trick you've learned this year?

Hi
I found out that oxo cubes are little sachets if you pull out the corners you can crush the cube whilst in the packet and then rip and pour out. I have lived my whole life not knowing this, thinking they were just foil wrapped cubes you had to unwrap and crush in your fingers!
Is it just me?!?

think I posted this one on another thread:
for medicines that come in the bubble packs, I always used to press the bubble down, and if the foil was quite strong the capsule would get crushed/broken, or sometimes not even break the foil.
HOWEVER, if you run your finger along the foil and make a split in it, out pops the capsule!:T2021 - mission declutter and clean - 0/20210 -
The oxo cube has blown my mind.I wanna be in the room where it happens0

Delighted it wasn't just me! I felt like a right wally when I read it! I actually don't think I've mentioned it to anyone in RL for fear they would think I was insane! ( to be fair, if they know me, some may already be sure that I am :rotfl:)
