Thanks Tojo! Using those tools everything checked out and didn't look half as bad as it had before. Anyway I won the auction for a very good price (in my opinion) but then got an email from the seller saying "I need to get in touch with my Gran as it's her scooter and i'm not sure if she'll be willing to sell for the price you won the auction at!!!" What can you do?

Point out to the seller that as far as you are concerned you have a binding contract with them. THis is a bit of a moot point really as you can't force them to sell, but you can at least sound like you mean business, in a very polite way.

Just say that you will be making a paypal payment within 24 hours and will expect notification as to when the item will be sent. Either that or if it is a collection only item ask them if it is OK if you and your brother, and your brothers mates turn up say Friday night and collect it. Again be terribly polite.

If you really can't force them to sell then report them to ebay for each and every violation you can find, start from non performing seller, try their contact details and see if the phone number really works, if not report them for that.

    Good luck
