2 x non stop Pcns

Hi there probably is somewhere on here that has said what I need to know but I'm new on here and a bit confused as to what I need to do next.

So I had parked up on a small industrial estate to nip in and get something to eat for my dinner , the very next day I did the same only to be told by someone that it was a no stop ruling and would get a fine (an expensive pasty is that mate were the words he used). Upon looking round there were no actual signs I could see stating this but further down was sign that said just that. The 2 days I was there I recall some workers doing something with the road who now they are not there I can see they were actually blocking a sign into the entrance but even when no workers are there it's only noticeable if actually looking for it, where I was parked they have also now put a post in with a sign which I find hard to believe they would do this if signage was adequate anyway.

So I appealed the 2 fines with information from your site and both appeals were rejected and I was given 2 popla codes and this is now where my problem lies, due to rebuilding my house and having a lot on my plate with my eldest son starting to have seizures I missed the deadline to appeal to popla, and I have now recieved 2 debt collectors letters that have also increased the sum owed which I really can't afford.

I appealed using the template letter stating I could not be sure who the driver was to which they replied with the Pcn is to owner of vehicle not the driver.

I have a lot on my plate right now and this is really starting to get me down as I really can't afford to just pay £300.

As I said I'm new to this so please don't rip into me I just want some advice on what I can or should do to resolve this.

Thank you

If you've missed POPLA, then ignore them until they try a small claim.

Some PPCs never do, but you haven't told us who?

  • I wasn't sure I was allowed to say the company who issued the ticket or the alleged solicitors who have sent me the letters since

Well you'd better tell us then, as that information can influence how we advise.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Ive read a lot of threads and all confusing and rather stressful, I didn't think I was allowed as the 2nd thread from the top is a whole thread asking not to name companies so that's why I thought I wasn't allowed.

No idea why anyone would read that sticky thread... and all it is saying is don't be rude about specific companies. No ''name calling'''.

    Not no naming!

Sit down and now read the top 20 threads (ordinary threads) and tell us how many you see with no mention of the PPC? None...

It would be helpful if we can see this letter

As you are new here you cannot post a live link

1: Scan the letter REMOVING ALL PERSONAL INFO
2: Upload to a free hosting site like Tinypic
3: Show the link here as hxxp and not http

    We will make it live.

We need to establish what type of letter this is
