oh it was not edited but still there in post #4

You could try a Samsung authorised repair centre, pop in and have a friendly chat.
If its a non UK phone then you maybe wasting your time chasing the seller.
  • It was sold as a uk Tablet and brand new, it was all in sealed packaging. I have checked the serial number on a website and it does seem legit.
The main problem is that Samsung will not even entertain looking at it within the warranty without me emailing them a proper VAT receipt from the seller. But the seller will not respond to me.
Could eBay make them provide the receipt ?

eBay do not require any seller to provide a receipt, so no they won't put any pressure on a seller to do something that is not required. As for a VAT receipt, that would need a seller to be VAT registered which of course might not be the case.

As you have a serial number and a receipt in the form of what you can print from eBay and PayPal it rather sounds like Samsung are not accepting this as a legitimate sale, i.e. Seller was not an authorised seller and could not pass on any warranty to the buyer.
