                    Can anyone please advise.
I needed to get my Tablet factory reset as I forgot my password to unlock it so I took it to my local computer repair shop and they were unable to sort it saying there was a problem with the tablet that wouldn't allow factory reset. So I contracted Samsung as it is less than a year old and they need to see the receipt. This is where my problem lies, I bought it brand new from a business seller on eBay but Samsung do not accept the eBay receipt or the paypal receipt as proof of purchase as that is not proof that it was sold to me as a business seller. So I have contacted the seller and requested a receipt 3 times but they have not responded. Any advice would be appreciated.

Could have been a refurb unit or a non UK item.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Sometimes the model number varies or the firmware wont be UK spec.
Sometimes its totally different hardware for certain countries.
The manufacturer will know from the IMEI, but without proof of purchase you may not get that far.
You could try a Samsung authorised repair centre, pop in and have a friendly chat.
If its a non UK phone then you maybe wasting your time chasing the seller.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Put the IMEI in an IMEI checker may give a clue as to origin .
Unable to factory reset which takes seconds to press the buttons . Smells fishy to me .0 -
keep up folks, its NOT a phone its a tablet0

OP be aware that any repairs are up to Samsung to validate .
