DVLA - missing ID and driving licence

Hi I sens aplication for provisional drive licence with my ID to DVLA. I am waiting for my stuff since 02.06, SECOND JUNE! AGES!!!! Wrote them many times. They wrotre about pandemia. I WAS PATEINECE, BUT ITS TO MUCH OF THIS. I cannot fly, nothing, beceause I dont have ID. I am key worker, what can I do more? Go there and help this people? Who can help me? Police? Press? Really I dont carre any more, that pandemia and patiente. That was ages ago. I even dont know, maybe my documets missing there? Its still this same on web site: In Progress: Awaiting Application Return Form. Its madnes! WAHT CAN I DO, WHERE LOOKING A HELP?  Adam

Hi Welcome to the UK and the forum. From your post I think I can just make it out you applied by post? Not sure but:
Perhaps you missed the fact that there is indeed a pandemic and it has affected certain services, especially the DVLA who are situated in wales, who were the first to shutdown by the welsh government.

But they posted this really helpful advice below on their website in English. So the police press etc will not be interested.

It states. Please do not send paper applications until further notice. So why did you not just apply online? Or did you? and you are now waiting on reply.

No, it wasn't.
You sent your paperwork to DVLA over a month before the lockdown in Wales started tp ease, at a time when DVLA explicitly said "DO NOT POST US ANYTHING".

It is no surprise that your paperwork is caught up in the backlog.

Several months ago, my son discovered that his provisional licence address was incorrect through no fault of his own. He contacted the DVLA and they told him to reapply for a new provisional licence in which he had to send new paperwork and his Uk passport, as well as the incorrect licence. He duly did this and sent it by recorded post via Royal Mail.

Since then, he has not had his replacement provisional licence back or his UK passport. Communication from the DVLA is pretty much shambolic and this has been echoed from various forums on the internet describing the same frustration & anger with the DVLA.

The DVLA should have processed my son's licence and returned the corrected version as well as his passport a long time ago. This is wholly unacceptable behaviour from this government body regardless of covid and industrial disputes.

Can anyone give any advice on what to do with this situation or share a similar experience..
