o2 top a tenner is 300 texts per month not 100 but you can either have voice calls or texts
  • Don't know any that give free texts and calls. O2 give 300 free texts with £10 topup per month or 500 with £15, Orange also do a very similar deal, but depending on whether you're calling cross network or not depends which is the better deal. O2 charges about 40p per minute cross network, whereas Orange charges a flat rate of 15p per minute to whatever network/landline you're calling. You may want to consider O2's Pay monthly Simplicity tarrif. This is a rolling monthly sim only tariff that can be cancelled at a months notice (no 12 month contract) and for 15 quid a month you get 200 mins and 400 texts.

  • thanks for the replies

think o2 is sounding a good option unless anyone knows of a network that will give me free or cheap payg browsing?

i agree i've just got this for one of my boys he uses tons and tons of texts so i've took him off the o2 payg and let him have (in my name) online 20 £20 per month 400 xnet mins 1000 texts unlimited o2 calls (fair usage 2000 mins)
  • On Orange PAYG if you top up £20 you get 600 free texts AND free evening internet browsing between 7pm-12pm, and any network anytime calls 15p per minute.. They also offer a weeks unlimited internet access for £5.
