Hello all, didn't manage to post yesterday, so waves to Speky and hurrah for retrieving the coat.
Csarina, commiserations re the disappointing result from the stall, a friend who used to sell via stalls has given up too. What a shame you had all the effort of setting up for such a small return.
Bozwood, kitten envy here too. Enjoy!
Holly it was great to read your post. Sending hugs ((( )))
Today's plans definitely appeal. The usual Sunday stroll is being followed by three of us with lunch and then a DVD. Choice of film still to be made but I have plenty collected from charity shops for our winter Sunday afternoons. We all live solo but it's nice to have a home cinema session together.
I have some cooked pork which will find its way into a stir fry later on.
Wishing you the best day possible. xxx0 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread nmlc and hugs to all those in need.
It's chilly here today and the stove is very sluggish. Because we are in the marina we have to buy their coal as the fuel boat isn't allowed in the marina. This means we are paying £15 for a bag of coal instead of £11 and the coal is very poor quality.
I went out last night with my kids to celebrate my birthday, unfortunately the restaurant, which is very small, had seated 24 small boys and their drunken parents, the boys were running riot so we gave up and left.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Another grey day but it's dry outside and the sun is trying it's hardest to peek through.
Not much going on at chez nous other than cooking lunch today. We're having a small joint of beef, with roasties, veg and gravy. The veg has been prepped and the beef is in the slow cooker ( I daren't oven cook it, as it will probably turn out tough and I'm not prepared to chance it
) . Mr Fix It has been xboxing with DGS this morning and has gone to the shed for something (?) . Methinks he'll be gone for a while :rotfl:. Dad is due later for lunch and tea, woe betide him if he criticises my cooking again !
I have put the DW on and now I'm going to wander the web for a while and drink copious amounts of coffee before cooking the veg. I'm having an easy day today, so there:j. as tomorrow will be another busy one !!
Hope everyone has a good Sunday.
Bozwood I also have kitten envy !
Snoozer I hope you can show your unwanted visitors the door very soon. Makes me shiver thinking about it ( between you and me, I've been in your shoes when I had cats, many moons ago)
Cranky Thanks for mentioning xmas cakes. Hope you get yours iced today. It's reminded me that I have to feed our Xmas cakes.( Whoops they should have been done yesterday, they'll be starving :rotfl:)
Take care all. Hugs coming to everyone today.

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Just up, I was drinking tea and reading in the sitting room at 3am again. Then OH woke me to go to the loo at 6.30am.
I had a shock yesterday, we had not seen our across the road neighbours for some time. I am loathe to go to the door and ask, they have 3 jack russels and they bite first and ask afterwards. I saw A yesterday talking to someone in a car, so went to the gate and called him. It turns out that D has had to have her left leg amputated below the knee. I used to take her to the hospital for her appointments when the ulcer on her foot was being treated. I had to stop when OH was ill. had only seen her sporadically since. What a shock.......she is going to get a prosthesis but just now is having carers to get her up and put her to bed. Her husband is doing all the other care. He has asked me to go over and see her, so I will gird my loins and go sometime this week.
We have a busy week soming up, tomorrow I have to go to the local hospital to get my right eye assessed for removal of the cateract. Tuesday we have someone coming to assess OH for the increased AA and also its the cleaner day, and the chiropodist is also due. We may also go to see my quilting friend on Friday, as next Friday is the Christmas lunch at the little chapel.
Step son came to see his dad yesterday afternoon with no 4 grandson, he was an afterthought 11 years ago.
I managed to get 4 mats appliqued yesterday, so just two and the runner to do and then put the backing on and bind them. I have another table runner to do then, and unless any other orders come in thats it. I can start photographing the stuff I have left to sell.
Just having a cuppa then going to try and get the two mats done, will do the runner after lunch.
Roast chicken for supper tonight, roast squash and spuds carrots and stuffing. Will have aroot through for some fruit to make a crumble, otherwise it will be banana.0 -

Am off to a charity Xmas tree comp this aft.Basically a church hall filled with Xmas trees from all different charities n associations. The entrance fee money goes to the winners.I had to stifle giggles at some of the pathetic efforts last year:rotfl:

Have just had a text from ex hubs, he's had his benefits stopped n is having to go to food banks etc, so I've made him a bag up of food, loo rolls etc, n said if he does a bit of weeding for me, I'll pay him a bit .I'm also on disability benefits, but hate seeing anyone at rock bottom

Morning all. did nothing but sofa surf yesterday. Hopefully i will do something today but not holding out any hope. the chest freezer has to be moved, the boxes that were where the chest freezer is going have to be sorted through, and the shopping I did last week has to be put away because it's still in bags in the lean to.
If I had been slightly organised, i would have talen something out of the freezer for food, but I'm not, so fridge surfing it is. I may make a spag bog sauce. Still blowing and coughing copious amounts of snot...tmi?
Nelski, do you ever think you may be doing a bit much? Glad you're almost well Gers
Hugs n stuff to them that needs and fireworks for them that don't. Have a good Sunday!!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Morning all,
Back since Friday morning from our US trip, used airport assist (think that's what it's called) for the first time and will never travel any other way...... Met at airport door by wheelchair, no need to queue at check in or security, taken to car on return to Dublin.... Wonderful service! Have never been hit so badly by jet lag..... Slept most of Friday, all night and half of yesterday and all last night..... feel almost normal today.
We had a lovely trip, 3 days in Boston, 3 near Hartford, 3 back in Boston, saw most of OH relatives and friends, his sister was in good form, we got a few nice pictures, so very glad we made the trip.
Haven't been keeping up with thread very well, will go back and read all I have missed, be back to normality tomorrow, love to all.

Good afternoon chums have been in the kitchen baking this morning so my house smells delicious at the moment `made lots of cookies and sausage rolls .Eldest DD gave me a chocolate orange yesterday and this morning I chopped some of it up and chucked it into the cookie dough with some mixed spice and the cookies are rather lush. Also made some sausage rolls which will go to youngest DDs this afternoon.
Definitely getting my baking mojo back as the weather gets colder Helps to keep the kitchen warm and cosy as well
making inroads into the freezer and hope to get it defrosted soon.
No cooking for me dinner wise until Wednesday as I am at DDs today and its my son-in-laws birthday tomorrow so we always have a family meal at birthday time, and at the pub quiz on Tuesday where I get fed
Damp and miserable looking outside so I will be wrapping up warm when I go out.
Hope you all are having a good Sunday, and hope Mrs TA is OK, the first few weeks ,especially at this time of the year can be really hard, I am thinking of you honey xxx
Right time for a hot cuppa and perhaps one of my chocolate orange cookieson a taste testing base of course
:)
Cheers chums
