Hi Samantha111
Sorry the late response just seen your post and I'm not sure I understand the 3 missing links ? I'm happy to help if I can0 -
Just received an update from my appeal.....and guess what its been rejected
No mention of that I'm the keeper or any response to questions asked by the templated response. It just goes on saying that I owe them £100 and I can get the discounted price of £60 for a further 30 days. I now have Popla code. Would it help if posted the rejection letter ? 0 -
Damm....with being away and Christmas I just realised my popla appeal runs out on the 4th Jan.
I plan to appeal on the following grounds
1 NTK not complaint, I'm the registered keeper, although I think it maybe compliant, but I did received on the 15th day.
2. Authority to issue tickets
3. Signage unclear, does not say when you need to pay. its not clear you need to buy the ticket as soon as you have parked the car. BTW the driver brought a ticket before leaving the carpark for 24hrs parking
4. ANPR signage not clear for what its being used for and transparent
5. ANPR is flawed
5. NTK has photos of the car entering and leaving, however the date and time is not on the photo (text outside)
6. lack of planning permission for ANPR and signage
Does this look OK for an appeal ?
Question....the driver brought a ticket at the end of the day for £2.50 for 24hrs as they thought it was ok as there were no signs to say otherwise. Should I mention this in the appeal ?
I will post my appeal later and I would greatly appreciate feedback.
Thanks in advance help and advice0 -
yes , looks ok as long as they are only the bullet points for the main appeal
I wouldnt post those details about the driver yet, save any of that for court, if it gets that far
popla codes last up to 33 days, not 28 days , so you may have slightly longer0 -
thanks for the quick reply Redx

I checked and it said my code is valid to 4th Jan.
I have drafted my appeal, but I have just been made aware I can't post links to the site
I haven't mentioned anything about signs not showing when you need to pay...do you think I need to ?
I'm not sure the pics I added make my case stronger, so I would like a 2nd opinion.
Anything else I have missed ?
Should I cut and paste the words ? or is there another way to post ?0 -
any incorrect or inadequate signage around a PDT machine , or on it, is always a valid point
you can post dead links by changing http to hxxp, its that simple
copy and paste is also a good way, but be careful or your IP will be banned by MSE as a spammer , see the post in the admin and help forum0 -
ahh...good point.
Here is my draft...

I need to write something about not clear when you need pay and tidy up formatting.
Thanks again0 -
I would like to submit it tonight as my code is only valid to 4th Jan.
I would be interested in your feedback on the appeal and if there is anything else I can do ?

I decided not to write anything about signs not showing when to purchase a ticket as I wasn't sure if that held water. You will notice there is only one charge £2.50 for upto 24hrs and the car park is ANPR. None of the signs say you need to purchase ticket once parked. The driver assumed as the ANPR reads the plate on entry and exit, there was no need to purchase the ticket when parked as long as it purchase before leaving, which they did.
Should I include a picture of NTK ?
Thank you0 -
Good news - NCP have decided not to contest my Popla appeal !!!
I would like to thank everyone for their advice and guidance and the forum :-)0 -
