    Also, if i were a university-aged person I would not really want attention drawn to the fact I had been vulnerable to this crime. It might give other people ideas. It could also be something that a potential future employer finds out about and it might affect their judgement on the suitability of the individual as an employee in certain roles. Some things are best not advertised.

    I accept your point, however, the journalists are frequently so eager for the story they are happy to give anonymity to the victim. Perhaps more so, the print journalists.

    I agree with EachPenny's long post above.

    With respect to the OP, there is often a lot more to these stories than meets the eye and indeed most of the time if you know the actual details behind what's happened it's pretty much open and shut.
