So you keyed in '68' and for some inexplicable reason the wretched machine recorded those key presses as '69'.

As you say, what is even more amazing is that their machine accepted an invalid number plate.

    A ridiculous state of affairs.
  • Appealed my parking charges and parking eye cancelled all of them. No where in our car parking policy it states about paying for incorrect information. Glad it’s sorted now as I recieved 8 charges in total.

Well done, but keep your eye on this. Get your Union Rep involved if you have one.

I have actually witnessed a digital screen input different letters and number to the ones I was keying in. The cuff of my coat was actually "typing" something in, even though it wasn't touching the keypad, whilst I was pressing completely different keys with my fingers.

In addition, if the scammers software was fit for purpose, it would not accept a VRN if that same number plate had not actually been recognised by the cameras.

Remember, this is a scam and our MPs have said so in open parliamentary debate.

    Glad to hear it.

These PCNs were a total rip-off scam to scare you, and the entire industry needs banning.

People who work for parking firms need to hang their heads in shame at what they do to people. There is no other 'trader' I can think of that has no consumer customers, no customer service ethic, provides no service to any driver at all, ever. They are just leeches on Society.

Every day they intimidate and sue people for fun, and people pay them 3 figure sums just based on being scared by one letter being sent, or one piece of paper placed on their car.

That's why it should be illegal, because people are duped into thinking they've been fined.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
