I have my own pre recorded music from my own CD's on both Real Player and Groove Music. I have created playlists on both, Can I download these playlists from either or both onto a micro SD card so I can play it on my Samsung Tablet

not sure as groove music doesn't appear to have a android app. i would upload the originals to google music and create new playlists from there"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

The playlists might have a actual file format, like .m3u or something. If it's something standard like this, and you can find it, you should be able to move it around between apps.0

i was also wondering if I can download pre recorded music from my Real Player library direct onto an SD disk or do I have to burn it onto a Hard Disk first and then from there transfer it onto an SD Card/disk. Alternatively can I transfer my Real Player library onto another music storage site then put in on to a SD Card. any help will be great. I have no idea what is a file format m3u mentioned above or where I can find. To a novice like me it is Gobbledygook. Could someone explain to me in simple layman terms.0

Yes, move all your mp3 songs to Music folder it will automatically synchronize when you open Groove Music and download free software website to make your music files are organized.0

So if we go into our Real Player recordings what is the next step from that particular site to download on the SD card so I can use on my tablet. As far as Groove music is concerned there does not appear to be anyway of downloading music from here.it should all be so simple but to me it is not, but there again my technical ability is very limited when it comes to downloads etc0

I didn't realise so many people were still using Real Player!
I would hope that your music library in Real Player is showing you your music, that is already on the hard drive. In this case, you just need to find them.
Try going to your 'My Documents' folder (might be just your name, on your desktop), then the 'Music' folder - what's in there? If you've got loads of MP3 files in there, or inside a sub-folder, you can drag and drop those onto an SD card.
If it's actually in the cloud somewhere, hopefully there's an option to download it to your hard drive first.
Ignore Groove Music for the moment. Are we definitely talking about music that you can only access via a 'Real' app, on the internet? Should be downloadable somehow unless it's some horrible DRMed stuff. Once you have .MP3 files on your hard drive, you can do whatever you like with them.0 -
I am still having a problem transferring my play lists from Real Player and Groove Music to My Music file in my documents. I will continue to search to find a way. The reason I use both Real Player and Groove music is it is free. Whilst both I Tunes and Google music are both superior they both have the policy of requesting your credit card details before they will allow you to access there free downloads.. Personally I strongly object to giving anyone my credit card details which they will keep on their file., I strongly object giving anyone my credit card details unless I am actually purchasing something.Even they I never allow to hold my card details for future purchases I am a very cautious person in this respect and I suspect there are many others like me0

How is google different to any other business you give your card details to?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

You do not need to give your credit card details to iTunes to use it for your own pre-recorded CDs on iTunes. It's only for buying stuff from it.0

I am another person that has his music stored onto Real Player wehich I have been using for some years. I have found the only way to download it onto a SD card is by first downloading your play lists onto a hard disk then from there you can transfer it onto a SD card to be used on a tablet. Maybe there is another way and if so I will interested to learn about it. Using an SD card for music on a tablet saves using the memory on the tablet.0
