Management Company wishes to introduce a Parking Scheme

Is the parking scheme for allocated bays or do you have visitor parking/common areas which could possibly be misused?
Key fobs can be used by friends and family but if there are parking poles I really can't see the need for control of allocated parking spaces.

From what you describe there is no benefit whatsoever in engaging a PPC (Private Parking Company).
What's probably happened is that PCM have contacted the management company, given them their sales spiel, convinced them they're "the good guys who'll solve all their parking problems" (even though there aren't any), and will give them a kick-back for each parking ticket paid.
Do all you can to stop this happening ... PCM are not who you want enforcing parking controls at your residence. (This applies to any PPC whose trade body is the IPC ... motorist appeals to the IPC appeals body - the IAS - are almost guaranteed to fail. Many PPCs moved from the BPA to the IPC because their appeals route allowed them a greater chance of scaring people into paying their PCNs).0 -
I have writtern to the management company to ask why this is being introduced. I wait for their response.
I will try to get this stopped if i can. If we don't have a legal leg to stand on then I have to hope that the other leaseholders will be enough to convince this to stop.0 -

In your explanation you highlighted the fact about them getting a kick-back for each parking ticket paid which to me is fair enough, however the OP says there are no problems with parking so there won't be any tickets issued so no kick-backs.
Unless the OP is losing out in some financial way I still don't understand the objection. I also have to say that having a private company in charge of parking where I used to live was a godsend.It's nothing , not nothink.0 -
If the op and his fellow residents fail to stop the introduction of the PPC, then they can cost PCM a whole lot of money by refusing to display a permit, then appealing every ticket they get.
We all know that appeals to the IPC will fail, but then if everyone then lets the PPC take them to Court, the residents can cite the lease and win.0
