Hi Amy. As far as I know the only way to check Disney tickets is at Disney guest relations. I was told that at one time you could go into a Disney Shop and check what you have left but I have never done it!!
Just about our first port of call After Albertsons liquor store is the hut at Downtown disney to check our tickets. We have quite a selection!!!!
I think that Disney tickets that never expire have that printed on them.

    Hi

We're planning on renting a villa and usually take enough cash to last us and just get out extra or buy pressies. The only real problem is the car. We were going to get a fly drive package but it says that if you haven't got a credit card they will do a credit check and credit rating will be rubbish at the moment and if your credit rating is bad they won't let you have a car. Quite frankly a car is a very important part of the holiday because everywhere is so far apart and it won't be worth booking if we can't have one.

We could pay a deposit but the way the rules are worded I don't think you can

Anyway I'm going to try and phone the rental firm so I'll let you know how I get on. I'm hoping to never need a CC ever again and it seems a bit drastic to have to have one just so that you can rent a car.

    Cuddlymarm,

Regarding the credit card/car hire situation.

Earlier this year we didn't have a credit card and wasn't aware of needing one for a deposit when we booked our car through usrentacar. We only found out about a month before the holiday that we did and were in a right tizz, because the villa we were staying in was near Davenport and a car was an essential (plus we had days in Tampa and Clearwater planned).

The only solution we could think of was putting enough money onto a pre paid credit card. We contacted usrac about this and they said no....However we thought about it logically and realised that the desk at Orlando International wouldn't have any idea that the card we presented WAS a pre paid card unless there were insufficient funds to be 'ring-fenced'.

We made sure that there was enough money on the card when we left - checked with dollar (I think) about how much they checked for and made sure that we had that amount plus 10% to make sure.

We arrived at the desk, handed over our card and were given our keys without any fuss.

It isn't exactly a moneysaving way of doing things but if a car is a necessity then it was the only way for us.

Just remember that if you do it this way, don't use the credit card for the duration of the holiday

Or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself.

Was wondering if anybody could help me - I went to Florida in May this year, and am looking to go back again next month...we didn't use all our allocated days on our Disney tickets, but we're unsure exactly how many we have left. Is there anyway of checking online? or could we call anywhere?

We don't want to buy new tickets if we don't need them, but I can't seem to find anyway of checking.
Unless they are Magic Your Way tickets (only sold in dollars AFAIK), with the No Expiry option paid for at the time, I dont think they will have anything left on them.

Anything that says Ultimate or similar will definately be expired.

Thanks everyone for the quick response

They don't say on them that they're the non-expiry ones, so I'm guessing that means they're not...they were called Magic Your Way Premium or something like that, looking at some ticket websites it seems they ran out two weeks after they were first used. Ah well, back to trying to find the cheapest possible tickets!

Hi, I can't help you with any of your suggestions asides from make sure you check the reviews of the hotel on tripadvisor or something similar - I always had the view that travelodge and other well known hotel chains would be of a similar standard the world over, but a lot of the reviews of Travelodges, Quality Inns etc in Florida are awful!

Have a fantastic time -that's only 4 more sleeps! :T

    Hi

    Thanks for all advice.

Sturll - I rang the Dollar at Orlsnd International Airport yesterday and she said that they've been told that if you haven't a credit card they will swipe your debit card for a credit check with Equifax and if your credit check comes back bad no car (the trouble is you can't check before you go because they swipe your card there) Its catch 22 you won't know till you get there and you can't go if you don't know

Anyway I'm sure theres lots of lovely places to go in the world (but with decent weather in October:confused: )

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated:rotfl:

If that is the case then i apologise for my mis information. It must have changed very very recently, i was in San Francisco earlier in the year and was talking to a guy from Liverpool who was saying he didnt have a credit card and was saying to me how they let him pay $500 (or in the region of) cash.

This is true, but just remember, if you use a credit card the funds are still available on the card, on a pre paid card the funds will remain secured ntil a few days after you have returned the car.
