Quick pop in while I have a sit down with tea between jobs.
Holly it is really good to hear from you.
Poppy, hope you feel a bit better soon.
I'm rushing round like a blue-@rsed fly, we are about to host a Thanksgiving dinner and since I'm cooking things I've never eaten it us a bit more challenging than Christmas dinner, that's easy. Also not sure I really fancy these very sweet rich foods but I'm going to try my best and will taste things, even turkey which I dislike.
Must go, love, aodI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
A quick note Holly its so good to hear from you and I am so glad that you are being looked after by your brother and the mental health services. All the best for your next op, I will be thinking about you. (((((((hugs)))))).0

Afternoon - made it down the road. Another glorious and cold day which made for fabulous views all the way. There's snow on the peaks at Glen Croe, it made the hills look like iced rock cakes.
I went to L idl and hoovered up a load of their German Christmas goodies, they go so fast and DM would be upset if she didn't get any. Then I got diesel at C ostco (on the same site) at 10p per litre less than most other places. :j.
Nothing much to do today now. Did some phone calls for DM, sorted out her PC which she's convinced does things by itself, no...it's not her doing anything wrong, and finished off the last piece of key lime pie which has lingered too long. :rotfl: That's my MSE task for today.
Poppy - my thoughts are with you. X0 -
I must say probably the last time we will use this pub though I had booked it for 6.30 so it wouldn't be too crowded and we got there at 6.20 sat down ordered our food and drinks and food arrived at 7.40 !!! which considering it was an ordinary meal in a pub chain and the place was almost empty I wasn't pleased about and when it did turn up it wasn't that hot and not very appetising but we were so hungry we ate and DD said we'll not bother with a pudding or we will be here until midnight so on the way home we stopped off at the big Tescos and she bought a cake and some profiteroles and we went home and had those with a cuppa.Certainly won't be using that pub again.
Holly lovely to "see" you; I've been awol from the Daily myself quite a lot lately, what with one thing and another, so I'm glad I actually got here on the day you were able to post in person.
nmlc the thing that gets scarfed here is fresh tomatoes. The other week we were running short, and I specifically told Mr Wolf NOT to eat them for his lunch as I wanted them to put on the pizza for dins, and what did he do?? Men! *rolls eyes*If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
snap LameWolf I did that this afternoon as the more I thought about it the crosser I got .Bad service is not a great way to encourage customers .
Had my flu jab this afternoon after I had been to visit my friend who's not in the best of health, bless her She is a nice person but her health is not good at the moment and she gets quite down so a HM cake and a cuppa ot three and a bit of a chinwag brightened her up a bit I hope .
History club tomorrow afternoon which I always look forward to The gardener came this morning and I gave him some wine from my stash as a Christmas box as he won't be back now until the spring. Garden is all put to bed for the winter.
Just had my sweet chilli chicken for dinner and now I shall put my feet up and knit and watch some TV. Had a nice few photos come through from NYC as DGS Danny and Hayley his wife have had a great day at the Macy's Thanksgiving parade ,even though it was pretty cold .She won seats in a lucky dip so at least they were seated, but they had to be there by 6.00 a.m. this morning !!!
Picking DGS Jack up from Hertfordshire on Saturday morning as he is coming home for his Dads birthday.
Speky how annoying to lose your coat especially if its your best one, hope you get to settle in OK in your new home and job though.
