  • Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Pleased you were able to get out for a meal Hester............

Very bleak morning here, there was a frost but it seems to have eased, I am off shopping in a mo, need to have a tight hold on the purse, I have spent more than I should this month, but some of it was stocking up on things I could not get at Aldi.

Got all 6 mats fused yesterday now just have the runner to fuse and I can start doing the applique.

Mince and dough balls tonight for supper.
  • Morning everyone

I have ‘popped’ in to say a quick hello to you all.

I know that Nelski has updated you on what has happened and what treatment I now need so I won’t go into detail about that. I don't want this to turn into a poor me post.

I am staying with my brother and family at the moment and returning to the town where I live for appointments, which seem to be almost daily at the moment. The combination of physical and mental health problems make for a lot of appointments. To be honest the mental health services have been excellent though.

I have decided to take up the offer to use my brother’s laptop, although I don’t really like to. My own gave up working before I became unwell and I haven’t replaced it and I can’t manage to post on my phone.

The CPN and psychologists are visiting weekly and the psychiatrist is coming every couple of weeks. The Home Treatment Team is also sending someone twice a week. They all come to my brother’s house as well which is really good of them, so I am being well supported by the Mental Health Services.

Most of the time when I’m not at an appointment is spent sleeping. I just can’t find the energy to do anything at all, which is one of the reasons I am grateful that I am able to stay with my brother where I don’t have to do anything.

I wanted to thank you all for the Birthday card, it really cheered me up. It made such a difference to how I was feeling. It’s so nice of you all to still be thinking of me after so long without me posting. I really appreciate it.

I haven’t read back much but I am so sad to find out that so many of us are having a really tough time right now and struggling. My thoughts are with you all, and I hope that those of you who are unwell, caring for those who are and are going through general difficult times right now soon have better times.

I will pop in when I can, and meanwhile Nelski will update you on what is going on for me.

Well Scoobymare didn't get done yesterday. Got 'jocked off' (before you all get unnecessary its a racing term :p) so its scheduled for 1100 today. Wouldn't mind but had given her some bute to make it easier for the farrier.
Sallylab did something to her paw too, cant see anything but she was doing an oohme for a bit. Seems better today though.
NelskiCan't remember the last time I had Soreen, got an urge to get some now. It wouldn't have got out of the house.

Not much else going on so stay warm and hugs and spoons to those in need

    Good morning all,

Glad to hear from you Holly although I'm sorry that life seems to have bitten you on the bum good style!

I've been reading but not posting much. October/early November always grabs me by the throat sort of thing as it's the anniversary of MrC's death in October then his funeral in November.....I really should be better at it now after 9 years. Maybe next year huh? Anyways, my House Troll is now 14 so I've survived another teenage year without damage. It did come very close a couple of weeks ago when he made a lake on the kitchen floor with water from the toilet cistern though.

Last week my friend's sister who is also my other friend's mum died - she was roughly the same age as me so that was a bit of a shock and this week another lovely lady who I've been friends with since joining ivillage when I was pregnant has also gone. Her daughter is the same age as the HT and I really feel for her because I remember what it was like for the HT when his dad died. I went to check up on my mate's (the one whose mum died) granny a week ago Monday as she lives next door and she's not well either. I managed to contact other members of her family who have arranged doctors visits etc but she hasn't been eating for weeks so the less said about the contents of her fridge the better. It's all clean now though, with food that is in date. I know because I cleaned it and threw everything old and poisonous in the bin!

The HT has his appointment with a paediatric rheumatologist today. He's been doing PE with the girls at school as he's not allowed to play football any more. I thought he might be feeling a bit embarrassed by this but true to form he's loving it. I need to go and make him a sandwich to take with me when I collect him from school as his appointment is 11:30 so he'll miss his school dinner.

Ruby work out how much they cost to make as a starter for pricing probably then add a bit.

Speky glad you're settling in OK but sorry about your coat.

To everyone that is having trouble sleeping I'm sorry and I hope it settles down soon. Take care all of you :)

    Morning all,

Very cold here and the van needed de-icing.Our car still isnt ready, which is making life a bit difficult.DS had to take DH to work first ,then come back so we could take DGS to school.
DH has a cheque he needs to pay in,but the local bank has just shut so there is only the town one now,and they dont open till 10. I would normally have taken it myself on the bus but I have the dentist at 12, & need to pick the meat order up and be home before my Morries delivery arrives at 2 .I did try to change it yesterday but the later slots had all gone.I think I'll have to get a taxi. DS1 is away,or he would have dropped me off at the dentist.
Holly- I am so glad to see you posting, and hope everything goes well for your next op.It's good to read you have a lot of support, and everyone on here is thinking of you.xxxx
DGD didnt come yesterday, she had a reaction to something and her face went blotchy so they sent her home from school. She was in bed asleep by 7,very unusual.Unfortunately the DGC,DS2 and myself are prone to allergic skin reactions, but finding the cause is not always easy :o
Nmlc- my sympathy with the men using the butter, its just the same here with 3 men too, nothing lasts long unless I hide it well :rotfl:
Nelski- I think you ate the butties in the car on the way to work :D

Right better go and get organised, hugs all round xx

    Morning all
The sun is shining but it is still very cold.
I managed to stay up till the very late hour of 8pm :rotfl:. I was absolutely shattered and I slept till 10am with a couple of loo breaks. I must have needed that amount of sleep !
DGD will have to go other nan today if she's still poorly, as we have to take Dad to his hospital appointment.
I'm so looking forward to next week when we have no appointments and can please ourselves what we do and when, but first I have a GP appointment tomorrow to get through .
Tea tonight will be a burger ( found in the freezer ) in a bun, I will have salad in mine too and Mr Fix it will have a slice of cheese. I'm not fussed on them as I dislike the texture of the meat, but it will be a change. May have a banana split for pudding as the bananas look a bit sad :(.
Right I'd better shift myself and do something :D. I did a load in the WM yesterday so that has to be sorted, the DW filled with the breakfast dishes and started up and the kitchen needs wiping down. I'm sure Mr Fix It is playing hoopla with the coffee, as he's missed and it's all over the worktop :rotfl:

Cranky lovely to see you posting.
Holly great to see you able to post. Take care my friend.
OrganzaLace have a hug.... several in fact.
RosyRed hope you can get a quiet sit down and a cuppa sometime today .
Dumpling could you get one of those NHS perching stools with arms and a backrest to use in the kitchen ? My mum had one when she broke her leg and was in plaster for 6 weeks. Just a thought.
Mehefin wasn't it Michael fish who didn't see the hurricane coming ? Not listening to you then :rotfl::rotfl:.
Speky I hope you find your coat today.

Sorry if I've missed anyone's news, Dad phoned in the middle of this and now I can't remember who said what :o. BTW I also thought it was Wednesday . Not much hope for me is there :D
Take care all and hugs to everyone today.
    nan xx

    Morning all :)
Today I slept till about half seven, then just lay in bed for another hour thinking and enjoying being warm. Got up, had breakfast, am now waiting to go to the dump to get rid of yesterdays task. After that I will go and fetch some trifle glasses I saw on FB marketplace which are genuinely vintage and for sale for the princely total of £4. I will make some trifle for my birthday the way I like it, i.e. with no jelly.
Afterwards, I may attempt some paint stripping, or some room tidying. OH hoovered the reamins of the splintered chair on the floor so it's safe to move things about again and we both managed to move the shelves in the lean to to make room for the chest freezer so it can go in there instead of the living room.

nmlc, I found that by placing something I know the OH is not interested in, like brown sauce or jars of picallili, in front of something he would be interested in, like a pack of biscuits, then amazingly, he becomes immune to clarity of vision, and his hands fail to work, and thus CANNOT SEE OR FIND THE BISCUITS....This is most helpful when I don't want something scarfed straightaway.
dumpling, I was going to suggest the same as nannywindow did. The funeral sounds cool in a good way.

Wotcha Poppy and TA, nice to see you briefly back Holly.

Hope Thursday is a good day, go slap it in the face with a wet fish!

After a few days of feeling better back to feeling ill again. Had another CT scan yesterday and was very sick last night. I decided to spend the morning in bed and have only just got up. Will get the scan results mid December and will then decide whether to continue. Not much quality of life just lying about.
Nice to hear from you Holly and thinking of you and Taff
