I'm an EE customer - the advice is to take a reading and check balances.. but the EE website is now down so unable to login and check balance.
The downside of online / e-billing it seems!0 -

Not really, it's the downfall of you not keeping an eye on it and downloading a monthly bill or statement and saving it as a PDF ready for when the IT system fails or the supplier turns up it's toesNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Extra Energy customers to transfer to Scottish Power
I've just looked at their tariffs. An online quote for me is just more than double the £54 a month was paying Extra Energy! I await their email and details of the tariff they offer me with baited breath...0 -
Only a suspicion for now but maybe a warning for other Extra Energy ex-customers.
I was with Extra Energy. Just before its demise was announced I got an e-mail from Eversmart Energy sent to an address I only use for Extra Energy.
I have just received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Scottish Power which sounded suspicious from the start. He asked for my meter readings. I said I had entered them onto their website yesterday and asked why they couldn't get them from there. He said they couldn't get them from Extra Energy because of data protection. This is not true, and anyway I had entered them directly on the Scottish Power website. At this point I put the phone down on him. I've now found that the call was from 0141 367 9951 which is on several list of scammers.0 -
I reckon someone's been less than careful with extra energy customer data. I too have had 2 emails on 22 and 25 Nov from Eversmart Energy despite having a little used and rarely advertised email address for my utilities.
Then tonight I was rung up by "Scottish Power" from 0141 367 9951 to "discuss my transfer to them". This despite me clearly only checking the email tickbox for communication method when I input my meter readings on the Scottish Power website. Fortunately awful signal in my house cut them off. Quick google seems to suggest this is a scam number.
Please folks beware!0
