Thanks for the thread Nelski and hugs to all those in need. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
Nothing exciting here, it's cold and rainy, we are going to look after our twin dgc this afternoon.
If CHS isn't feeling well I'll go on my own.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Happy birthday Hester, with whistles and bells on, hope you have a good day.
I have towels in the washer, it looks as if it might rain despite OH telling me it was going to be sunny, so they will go in the dryer. One plus to using the dryer I have plenty of distilled water for my iron and steamer!!
I managed to fuse all the tree bits I have got to fabric, waiting for the HAB to come hopefully today. I also cut out the background for the runner and mats and overlocked the edges, so they are ready to go once I get the shapes cut out.
The gardener is supposed to be coming but looking at the grass and the sky I doubt it.

Thanks for the start Nelski, pass on hugs to Holly next time you speak xx
My hairdresser came yesterday for a much needed trim,my hair looks much better now. Always good to see him,he's married to an old work colleague so we swap news back and forth. After that I put together 2 new bar stools, that gave DH a shock when he got home, though he did tighten up the screws a bit more,my hands seem to be getting weaker as I get older.
Today is a mountain of laundry to sort & some to iron.I'm making a meat pie for tea,the filling is all ready, the DGC are here after school so I need to hide the birthday presents I got ready for Saturday.Still wrapping to do but I need more paper. I spoke to my sis-i-l and niece last night and we have sorted who is buying what for children wise.We just buy for DGC these days, but their numbers are increasing, one this year and my niece is due in March
Right time for another brew, hope your days are good & hugs to those struggling xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Hello all
Just a quick pop in this morning to wish Hester a very happy birthday :bdaycake:_party_. Hope you don't rock the boat with too much celebrating:rotfl:.
DGD is here today as she is under the weather, possibly because the nurses were at her school on Monday doling out the flu vaccine and maybe it didn't agree with her. ( It doesn't agree with me either)
Hope to call back in later.
Stay safe and warm

Hi Ya chums freezing cold and windy but the sun is out at least .I had to let my hunky firemen go in the end Nelski but no matter we did have a great half an hour (drinking tea and eating cake after they fixed my alarm
:)) certainly got the neighbours curtains twitching thats for sure as I had a huge fire engine parked out side my house
:):) at my age as well
:)
Quiz was good and another two bottle of plonk into the stash for my team .:)
My youngest DD just rang to ask if I can book us into a local pub for a meal tonight as today my son-in-law Simon was due to get his graduation for his civil engineering first degree that he was awarded >But with all the extra expense of several birthdays and Christmas and DGS Jack at Uni they really couldn't afford to go £30.00 per ticket each plus £50.00 for the gown etc and my son-in-law is extremely shy at the best of times and hates any fuss .
So we are surprising him with a nice meal out tonight instead, just the six of us her, him, three of their sons and myself he will be able to cope with that OK.
DGS Jack is coming home this Saturday for a couple of days, and I am picking him up on Saturday morning from Hertfordshire as its Simon's birthday next Monday so it will be a nice treat for him to see his missing son who could not be here tonight.
Our Simon is such a lovely chap and adores my DD and has been a real hands on Dad and is never happier than when he is with the family .He had a bit of a dysfunctional family when growing up, and has always made sure his children are loved and wanted and would walk through fire for any of them.He never goes anywhere without either Dd or the kids and is not a pub going chap at all .definitely a homebody and only feels comfortable around his family.he is my DDs second husband and the total opposite of her first and I have always said she struck lucky when she met him. so tonight we are going to treat him a little bit to show our appreciation.
Right well time to make some lunch and I think its going to be a small pilchard salad as I have unearthed a tiny tin of pilchards from the cupboard and I fancy some with some crackers and salad.Got to leave room for my meal tonight
Glad to hear you are settling in OK Speky ,if you get the chance do go to Bury Market ,brilliant place and I loved it when I was visiting Mancland a couple of years ago.
Cheers chums ,keep warm and dry if possible
