  • Hey x oh man. I asked an electrician friend to come over to make sure the burglar alarm and fire alarms weren’t the cause. He was in the house a minute before finding the culprit! The carbon dioxide detector batteries!! Honest to god it made me mad!! I had checked that, but the battery light wasn’t lit so moved in from that one. But like he said those loud high pitch beeps travel well so hats why we thought it was in the hallway.
    Anyway all done and a much happier dog, well until he ate a ton of chocolate last night ;(

    Once again proving the advice in this forum to be right on the money!

    Oh I don't think it's too pedantic to point out that carbon dioxide is the gas you're breathing in and out several thousand times per day, and carbon monoxide is the poisonous gas your detector is designed for.
